New here, Need humidor

I am in need of a humidor, since I do not own one, and it is getting out of hand, having no smokes, Just wanting something to hold a box of cigars. Myself, living in southern California and going to college. Any help, advice, etc, would be appreciated.

Do yourself a favor and buy a cooler from Walmart and some humidity beads from cigarmony or heartfelt industries and call it a day. You can then spend your good money on the cigars, which are the important part. :ss
 
The idea of coolerdors is great, I own two. IMHO they are a bit down the path of experience for a gorilla.

There is need (at least at first) for seeing the little wooden box that holds the cigars; there's a progression in this passtime of ours.

Eventually, you're going to need a coolerdor, or fridgeador, or big expensive humidor with all the trappings.

Every time their name comes up, I feel compelled to give them a thumbs up. I was very pleased with the quality, price, and shipping speed.
 
My 1st humidor was a whiskey tin (Johnny Black I think) that I drilled some holes in for air exchange (I wouldn't do that now, but it didn't seem to damage the functionality). The humidifier was a paper towel in a plastic zipper bag that had been cut to alow humidity to escape. This "humidor" actually worked pretty well for a time.

For a second, I thought the thread was a joke.

First post and all with such a unique username.

I'm getting too skeptical lately.

Since it is apparantly not a joke, I'll toss in my useless :2 by saying a tupperdore or ziplock would also be my vote. giving you more money to spend on cigars on a college budget.
