New Palio cutter owner

Well, I have my new palio cutter. I must say that I am very impressed with how well these work. May have to have another one for safe keeping.:chk

Hear very few negatives about this cutter... mine works like a dream! Best cutter on the market, IMHO. :ss

The only thing that i dont like is its unfinished look there is lots of flashing arround it.

I took an exacto knife around the edges, looks a lot better.

But man you can't beat the performance no matter what the looks. And the lifetime replacement guarantee.

Palio makes such a great cut. I only use the Xikar for cutting large ring guage cigars when its absolutely necessary.

I did the same thing with mine but being an expensive cutter it should not have to be polished up.

It's not made for looks. I don't mean to sound flippant but too many are focused on looks rather than performance, imo. That goes for just about every consumer product.

I'm with all the above. I just got one an is it super sharp. I also may have to get a back up for the house. Not sure I could go back to my trusty $2 cutter...

Congrats! I have been on the fence for awhile based on price....I always end up going into the shop to buy one, and end up spending on sticks instead! All the positive remarks may have just given me the final push.

Not trying to thread jack, but on the subject of getting a new cutter, currently have 3 of those cheap-o guilotine cutters, and so far they are doing the job, but how long do you estimate they last. Id rather toss one before realizing its dull after shredding a wrapper!

They are definately worth the price, I actually would have paid more if Id known how good it really was. I started using a punch on toros and robustos due to my old Xikar hacking them up so bad. The Palios cut is so sharp and precise, it handles them with ease.

I got the burlwood Palio recently - figured it was a once-a-lifetime purchase (assuming I don't lose it) so the extra $$$ was justified by a very nice looking finish, if that bothers you.

And it cuts like a lightsaber through butter. FWAROOOOMMMMM!!!!
