Newb Adpotion Reviews (Sep. 08)

Blackhawks Fan!
I know these are a little behind but I've got two reviews ready.

First up is the Ashton Cabinet. (PC size I think)

Right off the bat this cigar starts with lots of nutty and toasty flavors. Very rich flavors. Pretty even burn throughout, also the flavor remained very consistent. A little bit of pepper flavors came in the last third.

Overall a very good short smoke, a 9/10.

Next was the Indian Tabac Super Fuerte Natural.

This cigar starts with cedar flavors with some spice and a hint of sweetness. Near the middle I had what tasted a little bit to me like caramel. Very nice. The spiciness picked up in the last 3rd. Burn needed a few corrections through out.

Another pretty good smoke, good flavors. 8.5/10

I am smoking the Cienfuegos right now.

Started mainly with leather/earthy flavor. Some nuttiness and a hint of cedar (the cigar comes cedar wrapped). Fairly strong flavors but the cigar was still smooth. More into the cigar I got hints of cocoa. A complex cigar. The middle picked up in the leather flavors and had a hint of pepper. Smoking the last 3rd right now. More pepper flavors and still some leather. Burn was very good all the way as was the draw.

I give this a 9/10. An enjoyable cigar.

You got my last one. I am looking for more. I like those cigars. Not bad for a CBid 5er I took a flier on.

Just finished smoking a Rocky Patel Vintage '92

Started off nice with wood and coffee flavors. Burn was slightly uneven right off the bat. Flavor also had a hint of sweetness. In the middle the sweetness was lost but the wood and coffee flavors remained. Burn was still uneven, needed quite a few touch-ups. Around the last 3rd the cigar started to tunnel and picked up a charred taste which remained even when I fixed it.

Overall this is a 6.5/10

RP Vintages were one of my favorite cigars when I first started smoking. However the last few RPs I've had were terrible in the construction department. I did try an RP Old World Reserve Corojo and this was quite good, but the other Rocky's I've tried in the past haven't been too good.

Tonight I smoked the final cigar, a Troya Classico.

Starts off with sweet spice notes. About a half inch in there were very pronounced peanut flavors. Never tasted this in a cigar yet so it was interesting. Still sweet spice flavors in the middle, peanut flavor still there but not as strong. Burn was ok, needed a few touch ups along the way. Last 3rd was the same but some harsh flavors came through.

Overall I give this an 8/10. Good flavors until the end, with some minor burn problems.

Thanks again to Reggie for this months cigars!

I am glad you enjoyed the smokes. I will be getting the next shipment out soon. I went out shopping to get you some good stuff.
