Next Trend in Cigars?

Just to be contrarian...

About cuban cigars ever being available in the U.S. (which could possibly happen within the next 20 years judging from the liberalization of things):

Judging from cigar shops I've seen in Europe, Asia, and Canada, cuban cigars dominate. The majority of people who get introduced to cigars by friends or curiosity, and have access to cubans, will smoke cubans for their first cigars - and will continue to do so, since frankly, most NC's can't compare to a Siglo or a Monte (even VSGs and PAMs have about 1/1000 the circulation that Cohibas have). I've asked a Hong Kong friend who smokes regularly, and he was shocked and awed that someone thinks there are non-cuban cigars out there worth smoking.

The same could happen to the U.S. even more so. I'd say CC's have 'forbidden fruit' status and more prestige in the states than in any other country in the world. If (when) CC's are available, that would be a huge boon to the cigar industry as a whole - and I wouldn't be surprised if CC's dominate for years to come. My :2.

Given current trends, I think it is highly likely that at about the same time Cuban cigars are legal in the US, there will be no place left to legally smoke them.
