NUB Maduro's!

They seem to be getting rather mixed reviews --
At this point i think people are just buying them for the novelty.

BOONE! You are the captain of the NUB Society here at CS. So how good do you think they really are? They just seem so gimicky to me. :ss

I had the Nub 466 a few days ago when the South Fla Oliva rep gifted me one. I don't know about everyone else, but I really enjoyed the smoke. So much so that I ordered a box.

It does not matter that you like them, the "No cigar snobs here" crowd have all ready decided it is a gimmick and no good even though they have not tried it yet. The psychic smokers here have spoken, the Nub is a failure and marketing sceme. I tried it and liked it too. I'm weird that way, I like to try something before I dog it. My:2.

For those that have smoked one, how long does it last. I enjoy coming home from work in the evenings and sitting on the front porch with my wife and smoking a cigar and talking. I prefer smokes that are an hour or so, since she gets up early for work. Would the Nub fill the bill?

Well, I'd say they are gimicky, in a way, because the initial market push was to try this whole new theory of cigar making. Nevertheless, all 3 wrap's are pretty good. The flavors do change a lot during the smoking process, my favorite being the Connie. A few things to note that I may or may not have mentioned in my reviews:
-The Nub's do start out hitting hard with flavor, as promised. From my limited experience I've had in all of them thus far is that the flavor bomb ends quite quickly as the flavors become somewhat muted the closer you get to the band. Beyond the band, I found the flavor of the Cammie is the best.
-The Nub's do not seem to last as long as advertised. Even the mammoth 464 lasted me only 35-40 minutes. I do not consider myself a fast smoker, either. I am not saying this is a bad thing...as a matter of fact, could potentially draw someone to lighting up 2 or more back-to-back.

I am anxious to see how these do in a few months, and maybe even years. :ss

I had the 460 Conn. shade and it smoked for about 1 1/4 hours.
