NYC this weekend...?

I'll be in Manhattan this weekend and wanted to see if any gorillas were down for a smoke or had any suggestions of what's good. I'll be staying on West 56th...
 
Damn!! I'm going to Atlantic City, NJ this weekend! I would've loved to meet up with you!! The Carnagie Club is on W.56th street.

The other question I had was that considering it probably would be a silly idea to drive there (the whole way), are there any good places to leave your car for the weekend close to the train?

Not sure exactly what train, but most maybe the Metro...? Last time I was there we stayed in Rye Brook and there was a parking lot where you could leave the car and get on a train that went into Manhattan, however you couldn't leave it overnight. I was looking for something like that, but where I could leave it for the whole weekend...

You'll have to pardon my ignorance on the topic, I've been to NYC a total of 2 times. :hn
 
I suppose an additional question would be: how hard would it be to just drive there? They do have valet parking at this place...

I don't know about parking near or at Metro North stations, but this place does not have a valet and parking in NYC is murder. :hn

If you're looking for a nice B&M to smoke in, got to De La Concha it on 6th Ave between 56th & 57th not too far!!

I meant that the place I'm staying does have valet parking... my main question is would I ever actually make it there or is city driving an absurd idea? :D

If you're not used to driving in NYC it could be stressful, not impossible. Weekends are easier than weekdays! But coming down from Rochester? That's what? 10 hours?:confused:

:r:r:r:r:r pretty friggin close. I think it's actually 6 or 7, but yeah.

I'm not really worried about the driving itself... If I can brave Boston, San Fran and Puerto Rico (which is insane, btw), I should be ok. I just wasn't sure if it would be a 4 hour gridlock once I got down there. I'd be coming down Friday and leaving Sunday...

Meeting up with you would not be at the Carnegie Club, it would be at the Carnage Club.

NYC is much easier than Boston IMO. Just remember Even Down/Odd Up with the Avenues & Even=East with the streets & you'll have no problem.

Friday evening traffic will be going in the other direction.
