Damn!! I'm going to Atlantic City, NJ this weekend! I would've loved to meet up with you!!
Close to what train? Amtrak? Metro North? NYC Subway?
That is vague, isn't it... :r
Not sure exactly what train, but most maybe the Metro...? Last time I was there we stayed in Rye Brook and there was a parking lot where you could leave the car and get on a train that went into Manhattan, however you couldn't leave it overnight. I was looking for something like that, but where I could leave it for the whole weekend...
You'll have to pardon my ignorance on the topic, I've been to NYC a total of 2 times. :hn
I suppose an additional question would be: how hard would it be to just drive there? They do have valet parking at this place...
I don't know about parking near or at Metro North stations, but this place does not have a valet and parking in NYC is murder.
If you're looking for a nice B&M to smoke in, got to De La Concha it on 6th Ave between 56th & 57th not too far!!
I meant that the place I'm staying does have valet parking... my main question is would I ever actually make it there or is city driving an absurd idea?
I'll definitely check that out...
If you're not used to driving in NYC it could be stressful, not impossible. Weekends are easier than weekdays! But coming down from Rochester? That's what? 10 hours?
:r:r:r:r:r pretty friggin close. I think it's actually 6 or 7, but yeah.
I'm not really worried about the driving itself... If I can brave Boston, San Fran and Puerto Rico (which is insane, btw), I should be ok. I just wasn't sure if it would be a 4 hour gridlock once I got down there. I'd be coming down Friday and leaving Sunday...

Nice place, cigars & drinks very expensive. They charge a cutting fee if you bring/smoke your own.

If you are looking for some "real" NYC food (not the glamorous type, but the street cart kind)
Try the guys on the corner of 53rd and 6th next to the hilton...such good food for 6 smackers a plate.
