Ok, The Famous Nic 3000 is a GREAT Cigar!

Today just after lunch, I had a Famous Nic 3000 robusto that I got in a bomb. I really liked it. In fact, I liked it a hell of a lot more than the PSD4 that I just polished off. Im going to have to get my hands on a bundle of them.

Couldn't agree more. The Nic3000s are great, and they are great to keep in the moochadore for people who normally don't smoke. There cheap enough so if they chuck it after 10 minutes it doesn't make you cringe(well sort of) but there good enough that you won't turn them off of cigars forever. In fact they may do the opposite.

I have shared them with 2 very rare smokers and one occasional smoker. One tried to poach my stash, I did hook him up, the other keeps telling me they are out of stock and the rare smoker liked them.

I really don't think the 1000's are a far drop off either, so the last deal with the free 1000 bundle was an extra nice score!

I will always keep them around.

They are the definition of a utility smoke.

Well, let me tell you this, they are very good and the price makes them fantastic.

It's a bit on the "fuller body" side but that's fine in my book... If you like Padron xooo's you'll most likely appreciate this cigar. Some similair flavors as well as very similair body.

Mind you, not a replacement for Padron's but somewhat similair. :ss
I just had a Padron 2000 tonight. If these are anything like Padrons, then I can't wait to get my hands on a few.

Too late, they raised the price about $4/bundle a couple of months ago.

They also now advertise them as "one of the online cigar community's most talked about cigars."

They are a darn good cigar which I find very full flavored and peppery.

I had a few gifted to me that had apparently been aged for a few years in a humi. I smoked both of them pretty far apart and didn't care for them at all. I need to try them again in a different size maybe. Just seemed really plain, and a little harsh at times if I remember right.

I recieved one of these in a trade (Thanks Jaycarla), I can't wait to try it, but its going to nap in the coolidor for a while first.

I probably should put this in the WTS forum, but it looks like there is some interest here and FS is out of stock and some folks are obviously short.

I can cut loose a bundle of Toros (5.50 x 54) from my stash. To keep it open to more people how about break into fivers. Might be nice to keep it open to those who have yet to try or only had one or two so far.

$11/5er + SH (your choice below)

SH = $2.00 (w/out DC#)
or
SH = $2.75 (w/ DC#)

Check is fine, PPal OK

PM if interested

BTW - IMO the best bundle cigar out there.

I LOVED them. They are definitely up there in my favorites catagory. I have smoked premiums that I liked less than the 3000. I liked the 1000 as well, but fell in love with the 3000. The only disadvantage is I smoked my last one last week. They really are a good cigar and a GREAT cigar for the price.

Have to get some of these, so I hit the ok to backorder, got the bundle of free 1000, and no postage. Figure I will order another bundle of them soon. Just seems like a could cigar to include in a PIF, trade or bomb

I could be mistaken about this but I remember reading something about Nic 3000's last year when supplies were running low where Famous was saying something about not having any more. There was some muttering about the possibility of the 3000's being leftover Oliva Series X that couldn't be sold under that name. Then suddenly the coffers were full and the 3000's were readily available again, but tasted slightly different.

If anyone knows anything about this I'd be interested in knowing - I only mention this because when Doyle offered the smokes I think he said something about having had them for a while - maybe he sent of few of the old batch...;)

This is true. Someone here who has the original Serie X compared them with the initial release of Famous Nic 3000. He comfirmed them to be the same.

That batch was sold out within a week of positive confirmation of Serie X connection. I even called Famous and they said that they are not sure if they will have some more or if they will get the same blend. I can remember for sure. I bought two bundles of the original blend myself. I gifted most of them as I find them a bit strong for my liking.

Thanks for the info. :tu Wish I'd been around at that time to get in on those.

Well, I figured "What the Heck" and I placed a backorder.. I'm apparently getting a bundle of 20 Famous Nic 1000's with my order. So either way it's a great deal and hopefully soon I'll know if it's the same blend or not.

All done on the fivers - Enjoy.

Joe, thanks again for offering up those fivers... That was really nice of you and I, and I'm sure other, BOTL's really appreciate it.
