Oliva Master Blend

Evolving Lead Gorilla
I smoked a Oliva Master Blend Churchill yesterday while watching the Jaguars spank Oakland but I didn't have a good experience with this cigar. The taste was kind of bland to me, I had no burn issues but I was expecting this to be better than the Oliva O or V. To me both those cigars blow the Master Blend away. Now this was the first Master Blend I have smoked maybe I need to try a few more cause I could have gotten a dud. But have any of the other Gorillas here had experience with these cigars. Am I missing something or maybe my taste just doesn't fit the cigar. Just wondering.

I had a Master blend 3 robusto the other day and i enjoyed it. I thought it was pretty good actually i plan on getting one of the churchills today to give it a try

I love the MB2 robustos.
Ive had a MB3 robusto thought they were
great then went back to one about seven
months later and didn't like it as much.
I have a MB1 churchill i still have to try.

I like the MB 1's. Tried one about 6 months ago when they were re-released and liked it so much I went back to the shop and bought about 20 more. They're resting comfortably... Larry.

It was a 3, maybe it was just me. The cigar was gifted so I don't have another one. I'll get to my B&M after Christmas and see if he has any. After reading what you guys have said, the cigar deserves another try. I love the other Oliva cigars especially the V.

I have both the MB3 robustos and torps. The torps are pretty uninspiring, really well constructed and look great but one-dimensional I think. The robustos are better, but to be honest the first one I had was the best, they've been a bit blah since.

Is it possible that the newest line of cigars have more hype then taste? Or is it that the tobacco is not aged the lenght of time necessary to give it the full flavor that it shoud? Or could it be that the newer blends are a mild blend for those newbies that have not developed a palet for the stronger more full blends? I any case it seems like a lot of new blends have not hit the mark based on the BOTL comments that I have read here recently.

Just my humble opinon.

:D
