Oliva Serie V Belicoso

Young Chimp
2nd Oliva review. Gifted from "papajohn"

I didn't take any notes as I smoked this one, so this will be shorter. Awesome none the less. A little better in most every way compared to the Series O I had previously.

More taste of tobacco, more "umph". Good spice. Great aroma and draw. Only touched up a couple times. This is my favorite Oliva so far!

Between the O and the V I would recommend the V a little more. Both were really good. 8/10

Thanks again to papajohn for the Oliva samples

I really like the V line. I have only smoked the torpedo and Special V, but if the rest of the line is anything like them I am sure they are winners.

I am truly becoming a big fan of Oliva. Had a serie V Belicoso last night. It was great. Just bought a fiver of Lanceros from Mean Darrell. Looking forward to hittin' them soon.:ss

The Torpedo V's are definitely my favorite. I bought a box after smoking just one! The big rings are more smooth and creamy. yum!

I've got a couple boxes of those I'm putting some age on them. They are some of the smoothest full flavor cigars out there. I get a cuban taste from mine, I don't know if it's me but I do. Get a box if you can find them.

Couldn't disagree more. The lancero has all the flavor plus can deliver a much more complex smoke.
I have to agree with my friend here, I have smoked the lancero, thanks Greg and have smoked larger ring gauges. I would have to vote for the lancero.:tu

Smoked all sizes and hard to find fault with any of them except the Double Robustos, most of the box of the DR's split around the foot. Still really like the Belicoso for a shorter "V" smoke.

I smoked one of these, and still have one resting in the humi.
Excellent cigar. The guy at the B & M where I bought them, compared them to sex.
It was pretty close.
Damn fine smoke, this is one that sets a high standard for me.

I absolutely loved the first Oliva I had which was the belicoso. I followed that up with a double toro and loved it as well. However, I smoked the figuardo last night and I was not as impressed. The flavor wasn't quite the same and it seemed to burn a little hot with too much draw. I enjoyed it and nubbed it but wasn't quite as blown away as I expected to be. I have to say the second half was way better than the first. Has anyone else had a similar experience with this shape?

Oliva is flat out tough to be beat when it comes to delivering flavor with smoothness and finesse. The Serie G Maduro is yet another tough to beat medium bodied creamy smoke for cheap.

Had a Oliva V Torp 2 weeks ago. Gave me that "WOW" moment, that reminds me why I smoke cigars in the first place. Very interested in trying the lancero after reading everybody's comments.
