Oliva Serie V review

I smoked a dbl robusto serie V while watching the Colts/patriots game last weekend. What an excellent smoke. I will be picking up a box of these for sure. I've had stronger cigars, but the balance of flavour and strength is just perfect for me.

They have really done a good job with this stogie in the "Oliva" way.

I been debating on trying this, but was told it was REALLY strong, but from your review it sounds like it should fit my taste profile.

The first one I smoked was REALLY strong,
but after smoking several of them now in different sizes,
I would say they are more medium-full in strength.

This blend quickly became one of my favorites.
They are very, very delicious.

Just had a double robusto for lunch. Med-Full body and full flavor. Not too bad on the vitamin n. It never changed, but was earthy. great construction.
 
Can't wait to have one of these, I've heard nothing but great things about them.
Yet another addition to the must-try list :tu
 
I had one of these last weekend while at a wedding. Extremely good cigar and I will be getting more. Thanks for the review.
 
Just found out mine are on friggin backorder......I will be meeting Mr. Oliva tomorrow in Atlanta, maybe he will fill my pockets with em.
 
I had my first one last night. Great flavor, burned incredibly. Of the handful of cigars I have smoked, this one was probably the most quality as far as construction, taste, and burn go. However, the draw was unpleasantly tight, and that put a bit of a damper on the smoke. I'll give it the benefit of the doubt as being the bum stick of the batch. All other attributes of the cigar were incredible. I'll certainly try another after I've smoked enough to get familiar with the different brands, flavors, etc.
 
i got a free one at my B&M - what luck! Free and great. I would say it is a full cigar but no harshness. Thumbs up for me.

When you get one, get whatever size you normally would, and then also get the Lancero......... trust me, you will not be sad you did. Has all the flavor the V offers, but intensified and if smoked nice and slow, still no harshness.

Thanks for the tip. I will definitely add that to the list as well. I was gonna head down to My local B&M sometime this afternoon and see what they have. I could be mistaken but I think I saw a few boxes of opus X's as well.
 
I have a figurado that was gifted to me by Rush. This thing is really a work of art, I just want to look at it. It will be both a happy and sad day when I choose to spark it.

They are great cigars. I love the Lanceros. However, I have all of the Vs.

Smoking the figurado right now. I'm on the last 1/3 of the cigar and it is getting better. Perfect construction, good tobacco used for this cigar. Medium bodied cigar with coffee and nutty flavors mostly with a touch of spice at the end. Very good price for this cigar around $6 -$8 depending on the size.
