on mold and tobacco

Okay I just arrived in sweden and checked on my cigars for the first time in over 8 months....(my mother in law was monitoring humidity for me) i was using a water pillow and a pound of beads for about 300 sticks. at times the humidity has been a bit high (like 75%) all of the sticks are fine except for about 6 sticks got a bit of mold. the random nature of this mold makes me wonder if different tobacco types or some other factor contribute to the mold. the affected sticks were all without cello wrappers and are from lots of random makers:

1. a "juke" smoke was completly fuzzy, I tossed it
2. a Hoya de Monterrey dark sumatra - tiny bit of fuzz on the foot
3. a don pepin 601 very light fuzz on the side
4. a master blends red label? fuzz on the cap and foot
5. a joya de nicaragua celebracion fuzzy head end.

none of these are beyond smoking except the juke...they will be burnt this week...but it got me wondering....out of all the smokes...why these...some of these are cheaper smokes i know...

any other ideas about why some smokes would mold and others be completely un affected?

any input or theories?
