Operation move that cabinet humidor.

The cabinet started the first leg of it's 800 mile journey yesterday after Joe hosted a BBQ.

I took some pictures and will be posting them soon.

The cabinet will make the 2nd leg of it's journey this Wednesday when it will change hands in Winlock, Washington and will be in the loving hands of Mark who will be bearing the brunt of the delivery adventure.

Thank you very much Joe. You are a great host.

My pleasure, it was good having you and Richard over. It was a good time, some fine cigars were smoked and a couple burgers didn't hurt at all.

Many thanks to you, Ken, and Mark, and Richard for making this happen.

This is point "A" for the traveling cabinet humidor, with Joe and Richard giving it the proper send off.:bl

I'm the one behind the camera:cb

Operation "Move the Humidor" has moved from stage 1 to stage 2. This stage is known as operation "the long drive to SoCal with a short stop in Sacramento"

Humidor resting in my garage. I've resisted the urge to lay claim to it (possession being 9 tenths and all that).

Many thanks to Ken (zoomschwartz) for completing stage one and also for the great dinner with his dad, many good stories of the area, and some cool sticks.

It was really great getting another chance to see Mark again, unfortunatly, we didn't get a chance to Herf this time, because of the crappy no indoor smoking laws in this state and the fact that the weather has been so cold (passes got 12"-16" of snow this past Monday) making an outdoor Herf out of the question.

I feel bad that I forgot to bring my camera, so, I don't have any hand off event pictures. SORRY.

Stump Town crew, you guys are lucky to have a member as great as Mark:tu

I really hope that the SJ and ST groups can get together for a HERF someday soon.

Take care.
Ken

This place is amazing. I was half joking when I made my original post, I never though it would happen. I guess you have to be carefull what you say around these Gorillas. I have sent a PM about the cabinet and payment. Thanks for all you help with this guys, I will definatly be sending some thank you bombs on this one.:tu

Ken and Mark are phenomenal brothers, I hope everyone who reads this takes the opportunity to hit their RG big-time.

:confused::confused: Ok, it's Tuesday...it's now safe to update us all on how the pass went, with pics!!! :tu

I forgot to bring my camera for the cabinet hand off:hn

Pulling the cabinet out of a vehicle for pictures along the wouldn't be easy by yourself and would be risking damage to the cabinet as well as ones back.

Maybe, without stopping, Mark could take some pictures during his trip down south.

I was going to do the above when I left Joe's house, but, I was soon met with rain (Washington sunshine) so the pictures wouldn't have been very good and all you would have seen of Mt. Rainier would have been clouds.

I would be down to help part way but my truck is a ford super duty f250 4x4 with a v10 and gas would likely cost more than the value. :r

Dude! You could buy the humidor for what it would cost in gas.

I'm shooting for early to mid afternoon next Wednesday for anyone that wants to herf in Sacramento at the hand-off ceremony :tu

It'll be fun
