Opus in a coffin?

So I was at the local B&M a week ago and I bought a small power ranger. I was looking in the expensive stash humi and noticed a 13$ Opus xXx. I've never had one before so I said what the hay and picked one up. I started talking to the guy there and he told me they had some Opus (?, I forget which one) they don't have displayed. He asked me if I would like to see them, and I said sure.

They were in single coffins, he said the ring size was 56,57, he wasn't sure. I guess thinking about it now. This probably isn't enough of a description, but does anybody have an idea what it was? He told me they were $40 a stick.

I liked the small power ranger I had, and was thinking about buying the other Opus. With all the talk of Opus' being over priced, is $40 too much?

Probably an Opus X "A" The MSRP is $25 a stick, but they usually sell for anything from $25-50+ a stick.

Coolies, thanks for the replies. Yeah that looks like the coffin I saw. I mainly wanted to know what the name was for when I go back and ask for the ones that aren't on display, heh. :ss

those run for $75 at a couple of online cigar stores and I have paid from MSRP to $35 so depending on your area, this may not be too bad.

nuts - I was hoping it was something out of the Opus 22 :D

(there has got to be one vendor that sells them as singles :ss )

there was a couple for sale in the WTS forum..........a little over priced for me..........but that is one big, sweet lookin' stick!!

Those are tough to find. at 40 thats not to bad, maybe a little more than others have paid, but not unreasonable, grab one if you think you might want one, when there gone who knows when they'll show up again. I cant stock up at 40 a cigar, but one or two in the humi is nice.

I recieved one of these fine cigars from a great BOTL here at CS in a recent bomb... his day is coming soon.

Buying online will often get you ripped off....find an honest retailer in your area, this cigar should never be more than $35 if it is priced fairly
