Out of storage space -Help required !


As the World of Cigars is growing more popular and i have to expand my cigar selection to have something to write about, i seem to have run out of storage space.

I tried to do an inventory on my cigars to see, if i can manage my storage little better, but there is no way i can properly store all my boxes. The singles i can squeeze into my humidors, but for the boxes, i have to utilize an air tight plastic container for the time being. And for that i feel ashamed.

So, to properly store my cigars and to get more subjects to write about, i humbly make this plead:

If you are interested or know anyone who might be, to provide me with a quality cabinet humidor in exchange for some great visibilty amongst the cigar smokers thru my pages, please contact me through e-mail (contact me button on the navbar) or trhow me a PM.

And by visibility i mean a story about the provider of the cabinet and a review on the cabinet with links, and of course a link on my sponsors list and possibly a little spot on my homepage sidebar.

Details are open for negotiation.

I was in your same position a short time back and just went to Sam's Club, they have a huge Igloo 150qt for $64.00 and now I have lots of free space to keep stocking up!
 
I'm with the rest of the guys, go with a cooler. I started with a desktop, then to a cooler, then to two, now I'm at 4. It's a ridiculous hobby and lifestyle that we all have, but fun never the less! Playing cigar box tetris is something we've all done on numerious occasions. Bite the bullet and get the 150qt and some beads or Boveda packs and call it a day.
 
Not sure what big store you have in Finland...maybe a Walmart or something?
You will have to get a beverage cooler as a cheap alternative. It will be super hard to ship a cabinet sized humidor overseas to you and have it arrive safely.

Is there a craigslist for your area? (probably not :()
 
Thanks guys, I have thought about the cooler, but it is not the path i am likely to take. I either get someone to sponsor me a cabinet, i buy one myself or built it with my two own hands.

This is not a question of money (well, i'm lying) or funtionality, i just prefer a cabinet over a cooler.

This is just my :2, but I think you're going about this the wrong way. First of all, unless you have a hugely successful site with a ton of traffic, I doubt that you're going to get a free humidor. Furthermore, the fact that you're trying to barter a review for free goods doesn't reflect well upon your site. For example, I viewed your blog, and noticed glowing reviews for some Cusano cigars, including the Double Connecticut. Since I had one of these resting in my coolidoor, I read your review with interest. Then I noticed that Cusano is one of your sponsors and I began to wonder whether your review was objective. Based on your posts here, it seems that your blog exists in large part to endorse whichever companies are willing to send you free products or advertise on your site.

By the way, I tried that Cusano Double Connecticut tonight. Unfortunately, it was plugged and the little smoke I got from it wasn't very good. I had to toss it after less than an inch.
 
i am sorry to hear, that your Cusano was not good. I enjoy them greatly. I always do my reviews unbiosed to anyones gain. It just happens, that when the producers or retailers want to do some cooperations, i am taking the compensations for i.e. ad spots in cigars or accessories, so that i would have something to write about.

so, i never write in anyones favor if i think the product is shit.

Partly you are right. I am trying to support the cigar business as much as i can, hence the ad spots. In return i get shit to write about.

I do not know how you would do this, but if i am planning to get this site up and running, i will have to count on some people's support.

My reviews are according to my objective taste, and if you disagree, i would appreciate you tell me straight that you do not like some cigar or that you do not get your sticks cut with a cutter i have appraised. please do so... otherwise, do not throw accusations around with 6 posts and 29RG under your belt.

I saw this thread and thought the same thing.
A cabinet humidor costs thousands of dollars and it appears that you are trying to abuse the giving nature of the jungle to get yourself a new humidor that 95% of the jungle can't afford for themselves. If you truly love cigars and want to "support the cigar business" as you say, then buy a cooler stick it in your closet and enjoy the cigars, not the vanity you get from showing them off in a cabinet humidor. The Gorillas on here aren't here for business venture, they're here to talk cigars and relax in there downtime.

Partner, he has about 1/4 of the time on here that you do and more than half the ring gauge you got, do the math. I saw in one of your other posts that this place isn't as friendly as when you last were here. I have only been here for 3 months, but the jungle doesn't respond well to people asking for hand outs (especially when they're that big). This ,may ruffle your feathers a bit, but oh well, it's reality and that's my :2. I don't agree with posting an ad for a cabinet humidor for some ad space on your website. Like I said there are much cheaper alternatives for storage that you could have sought out.
 
Let me explain myself, i am not trying to ask for handouts, i am simply poking around to find out if there are any companies or similar around here. I did not mean this to be directed to the other "regular" BOTLs as i know you have not got the interest, time or money to get into these things. What comes to thousands of dollars, that is quite a large sum, as i could get a decent cabinet humidor with 500-800 USD. i do not know where you are buying from.

anyways, i am done here and you can get all rowdy if you want.... I will go back to taking care of family now. just tried to reach any possible channel... and with the RG and posts thing, i was solely trying to raise some discussion about giving people advise. I still love the CS and all the people there.

Maybe we should try to communicate a little better and try to understand eachothers points of view before we can take this outside...

I don't have an extra cabinet, but I have plenty of room in my cooler. If you send all your overflow to me, I'll store it in my cooler and in return I'll read your blog everyday & point others to it.

just send them to me. i will gladly store them for and age them for you and smoke them for you. I don't want a fellow BOTL to have to suffer from this problem.
