Padilla 1932 La Perla

These arrived at my b&m last week. The La Perla comes unbanded in cabinets of 50, production is limited and it is the only vitola in the line to be made in the Nicaraguan factory. It is 4.5 x 40 and a Pepin masterpiece!! This little cigar is a kick in the pants at the same time an absolute joy to experience. Typical Pepin spice and pepper gives way to nice citrus and earthy notes. Full bodied and full flavor, the La Perla is a little powerhouse but it is very balanced and flavorful. It does command a steep price for such a small cigar, but I think they are worth it. I have had three of them in four days for cryin' out loud! :ss

That would be a different cigar alltogether. Black Pearl by La Perla Habana, not a Pepin.

I did not know Pepin made a black pearl

I did a search and I guess it is the Pepin la Perla 1952...

Getting back to the Padilla 1932; they are great:tu

No, I was saying if your lips became black, you probably smoked a Black Pearl by La Perla Habana not a Black Label La Perla by Pepin. The Black Pearl has a dyed maduro wrapper, I believe.
