Yes that is exactly what it is . Bo had guild build his guitar based on the old cigar box he grew up playing. :ss

Outstanding saond on that one. While the 3 and 4 string sound unique, I miss some of the fuller sound the 6 strings can convey. Still one hell of a neat concept.
