Pepin Garcia and Buena Cosecha Cigars???

I just read where DPG was involved with the company that produced Buena Cosecha cigars (Tabacalera Tropical) at one time. Anyone buy them on closeout from if I remember correctly, Holt's? These were great cigars and were real cheap. Now that I think about it they do remind me of a DPG cigar. Who would have known??

Txmatt & I have traded pm's where we speculated that JPG may have had something to do with the Buena Cosecha blend when he was associated with Tabacalera Tropicale.

It wouldn't surprise me a bit. :)

As the author of that wikipedia article, all I can tell you is that he did work for Tropical for a while, and maintains his relationship with the principals of that company. But I cannot speak to whether or not he was specifically involved in the development of the BC blend. Speculation abounds, but I am not personally acquainted with any definitive answer.
