Had a great weekend with my son's first birthday going on. Had a party for our family and spent a great day by the lake smoking cigars, eating BBQ and chipping golf balls into the lake (they were range balls, not titleist). Anyway, I wanted to try something different and I had a Perdomo Habano in my humi so last night before I watched the final Yankee Game, I grabbed a book, a Heineken, and this beauty.
The wrapper looked and smelled great although I saw a few small sunspots on it. It clipped nice and neat and was ready for toasting. The first smell was a hint of cedar and roasted nuts, very pleasant. The cigar drew well and had a razor sharp burn from the beginning.
Getting through the first third of the stick was nice and it evolved into a fuller bodied smoke with hints of leather and white pepper. The thing i liked most about this cigar is although it was fuller in body, it was not overpowering and the subtle spice never went beyond the middle of the tongue. May times the spice rolls to my throat and is uncomfortable.
All in all this was a pleasant smoke, took about an hour and a half and was a great way to peacefully close our a hectic yet enjoyable weekend.
This is my first post, hopefully it was informative without being too long winded. I took one pic with the cell phone for everyone to see, hopefully it attaches.
