Anyone live around Phoenix? Im am headed there over Christmas to visit some family and was wondering if there is any good B&M's to visit and any sports bars that would be showing the upcoming UFC fights?

Any help is muchly appreciated.

You gotta visit Habanos Torres in Mesa and have some cigars rolled for you.

Then head over to Graycliff Cigars in south Scottsdale (my fav B&M) and hang out for little while. Then if you want to watch the fight, Matchstix cigars is almost guaranteed to have UFC on.

There's a LOT of cigar shops in the east valley. And a ton of sports bars that'll have the fights.

What part of Phoenix are you heading to?

Casa Grande, my understanding is that is about 30 min outside of Phoenix.

I will look up those places. Thanks for the help.. any and all is appreciated.:tu

Sounds like a good reason for a get-together herf!:ss
Were you planning on going up North in AZ, or should I try to arrange coming down? I live in Prescott ("Arizona's Christmas City"), about 100 miles from Phoenix. And a lot colder than Phoenix, too.
Let me know hat you think.
It seems to be difficult getting the AZ gorillas together, but we can always give it a shot!

Yeah an AZ herf would definately be a good thing! Come on down the mountain!

You're willingly traveling to Casa Grande? Yikes :)

Hmmm....December 29 is a Saturday, so it just may be doable.
I'm thinking of meeting somewhere in the Phoenix area, maybe Scottsdale.
Either Cigar King or Graycliff would be a good location.
Anyone have other ideas, or is this OK?

If the date is good I would like to attend.

I suggest Cigar King or Habanos Torres. I'm sure Tim would roll us some nice cigars over at Habanos Torres.

I've been away from the board for 2-3 months and just saw this thread. I'm going to have family in town and won't make the 29th. I've tried to get the AZ crew together on a few occasions and it is a tough feat. For anyone that doesn't show up, it's their loss. Those that I have met are all awesome gorillas. Have fun!

Hope to see ya again sometime soon man. I just never feel like bicycling up to Union Hills... Habanos Torres is only a 5 minute walk for me.

I know there's still time, but WHERE are we gonna do this?
Shall we choose Habanos Torres or Cigar King?
Personally I don't care, I just want some certainty.......

Wherever has the room! I have some extra chairs I could bring to HT if we choose there...although might be a little chilly outside. Unless the new shop opens by the 29th? Matt?

I smoked one of Tim's cigars I had bought back in May on Thanksgiving day. MMM, reminded me I need to visit his shop more. :ss

Both Habanos Torres and Cigar King have plenty of seating area. If weather is fairly normal, afternoon temperatures should be in the 60's for the end of Dec. Sitting outside with a lightweight jacket should be comfortable. :2
