I promised some folks a Pimp Your Vinotemp 400 thread. This is going to have to come in stages since this is not my forte. But hey, I got started. That's the important thing. The picture doesn't relay how good this works, but suffice to say, if you need a UV light, this could come in handy. Otherwise, you could just use another color for effect. Mine is dual Blue or UV depending on how it's switched with 12" tubes. The blue lights are much brighter than the UV side. I hid all the wires and inverters inside a cigar box in the bottom of the VT. I ran the cables out the drain vent with a lot of effort.
The next steps:
Completely hide the white wires that lead to the lights from the inverters inside the Padron box in the bottom of the VT.
Add 2 Spanish Cedar shelves.
Add a UV computer fan with CCFL and a UV case to the ceiling of the VT.
Seal the drain hole and add a drain catch.
The final stage is a surprise that may take a couple of weeks to finish.
Note: the lights despite being CCFL, do generate heat. The VT had no problem lowering the temp to 66 degrees with the lights on. Results may vary.
