Pinar P3000: That's right, I went there.

I'm glad you enjoyed your cigar, man! Although I'm probably never going to try one, it's nice to hear good things about 'em every once in a while.:tu

A counter point....

All Pinars suck. They are bad, bad, bad cigars, made by and promoted by bad people trying to take advantage of folks "looking for the Cuban experience".

Next time do a side by side with any other real Cuban cigar. Make it a party short from 07, pedestrian and inexpensive by Cuban standards. The contrast should be all that anyone needs to understand the difference.

Did I mention all Pinars suck? :D

Edit: Moved this to the right forum. Pinars do not qualify for habanos reviews without scientific proof that anyone has found cuban tobacco in them.

Um, yeah, we get it, you don't like them, but to move it to the jokes forum? Seems a bit much, you could at least stick it in the non-cuban reviews.

That would be an insult to all NC cigars except for maybe Tamborils and Cremosas. :ss

Chalk it up to over moderation or a concern for folks wallets and pallets. Everyone is entitled to their own interpretation. :r

Have you smoked one?

No I haven't. One of the B&Ms I go to once in a while keep trying to push them on me, and I just keep telling him I'm not interested. My point is simply that this is someone's opinion, and just because you don't agree with it doesn't make it a joke.

While I agree with Dave's assessment of the quality of these smokes, I agree with Doug that it belongs in the Non-Habanos forum. If this were appropriately put in the Jokes forum, then there are a fair number of other cigar reviews that belong there as well.

I agree--just my opinion. However, I hope none of mine go to the Jokes forum.

Ambientboy's choice of forum was obviously wrong, but I think his review was in good faith and well considered.

I appreciate the mods being so active in CS. :tu Possibly they should be able to review unilateral actions, when it is not an emergency?

BTW, I smoked a Pinar about 3-4 years ago and it wasn't bad and didn't suck. I haven't had another and don't want to, because in my faint recollection it was nothing more than an run-of-the-mill NC.

Why are you being a dick? :r

Habit I guess. :r

What forum do you put scammer cigars in? I looked there is no "purportedly you can scientifically prove there is some Cuban tobacco in these" review forum. If true they don't belong in the NC review threads. Then again, as well all know, all Cuban cigars are Puros so can't really put them in the Cuban review forum either.

I'm so confused.

I concur; I've seen some bad reviews and bad smokes, none of which were moved to the jokes forum unless it was honestly a joke. I think various aging claims are BS, but gorillas are free to smoke them, review them, and recommend them to others. I'm glad this got resolved and found a good home.

:r Oh My, Oh My. I love this place..Just happen to stumble across this thread and BAM!.Some entertainment..

All jokes aside..IMO, It was a good cigar review. but these cigars suck badly IMO.

I have no issues with mods moving this to a different forum. I was thoroughly undecided as to which forum to place this thread and figured someone would move it if it were inappropriate. And I hadn't seen any reviews on it, so I couldn't resist to give this bad reputation a try! I must say, I've certainly enjoyed where this thread has gone. Thanks to all those who read and commented.

Good Review, thanks for posting it. Like any cigar, some people like them, and some people don't. Whether a Pinar is Cuban tobacco or not will always be up for debate. What I don't understand is how they can continue making them year after year without running out!

Either way, this is a review, and should be in a review forum.

Thanks for the review man. I was actually intrigued by these and entertaining the idea of giving them a try.
