Ya Damn Right
I do not like Pepin's. I attribute this to the fact that I do not like a spicy cigar. I enjoy nice flavorful cigars. I have found thaty Pepin's are all spice and no flavor. So do you like spice or not?

I like some especially in the beginning, but don't like it biting me the whole way through.

I agree that spice can go too far, and I have experienced some cigars that were over the top. I do enjoy the Pepin tendency to hit you with spice up front and then settle in, with the spice in the background.

I like many of the Pepins and my favorite the AF Cuban Beli is a spice bomb IMO.

:tpd:

I don't know if it's because my palate isn't as refined, but I like strong flavors and spice, doesn't have to be spice, but it has to be strong or I miss it.

Scott Shilala hates pepper.

That is all.

haha, i thought he likes to smoke pepper mills in the shape on cigars, no?

i like it when spice just adds to the flavor, more in the background in the after taste, but not to dominate. that being said, i do have times where im in the mood for smoking pepper, hence why i like to keep a few spicy suckers in my humi. same reason why i like to keep some full bodied smokes for when im in the mood for em

I love Pepin spice, and I disagree that spice is all they have to offer.

Ditto. I think the Blues and JJs are both complex, evolving cigars that offer a lot. And, actually, the pepper tends to fade and be replaced with other flavors.

Yes you need to spice up your life. A fine cigar will have a touch of spice to it. That is what makes it a fine cigar IMHO.:D

I do like a little spice from time to time, but for the most part I stay away from spicey smokes.

I disagree with a fine cigar will have spice. Examples for me would be The PAM64, AF Don Carlos, AF Hemingways. (few of my faves)

But I guess that's why there are so many choices. Everyone can have what they like :tu

I've picked up other spice flavors (like cinnamon) in cigars, so it's not always about pepper. Although I love hot spicy foods, for the most part I tend to stay away from the real peppery sticks. They're not bad every so often, it just depends.

Thanks for gettin that, Vin. :tu
I love me some Pepin JJ Maduro's. They're sweet and spicy and have that cocoa thing goin on, MMMMMMmmmmmmm mmmm.
I like lots of spice. Not the burning the nostrils ammonia spice, the spice that comes from a well aired spicy cigar.
Although I dislike pepper, I can tolerate a little white pepper taste, so long as that's not all there is to enjoy. The Black Label Cuban Classic Pepin is right on the borderline of my taste. It's pretty much too peppery.
The white label JJ kicks ass, but when I'm smoking it I thinbk "Damn, if this only had some sweet". So I just stick to the JJ Maduro.
I think I'll go take a nap.
