Your daughter Shannon and your family will be in my prayers. My daughter had her tonsils taken out this year and I know this isn't easy for you but be strong, everything will be fine.

My 2yr old daughter, Shannon, has a lump on her throat, turns out to be a cyst on her thyroid gland. The doc says it's not life threatening, but it needs to be removed. She's in great spirits, it doesn't hurt her.
The surgery is only done on Tuesdays, first available is the 20th of this month.
This is definitely a curve ball I wasn't expecting...

Thanks everyone. Shannon has a Thyroglossal Duct Cyst, meaning the cyst is on the duct connected to the thyroid gland. If the gland needed to be removed, she would require medicine for the rest of her life. My sister had her gland removed, this is how I know. We are praying the gland won't need to be removed.
Thanks again everyone, this has been up lifting.

She will be in my prayers as well. My 6 month old daughter had surgery end of August. It was tough no doubt, but she was smiling again by day 2!

I'm sure you're already her hero, so keep showing her your strength and love.

Great news, the surgery went well this morning, lasted about an hour. Shannon was groggy right after waking and will be the rest of the day. The doctor says she should be back to herself tomorrow. Thanks for all the prayers.
