Mister Moo
The Pinnacle of Style
I understand coming on to any board and being cautious about personal info. The whole CS experience is a pretty broad thing and any member can get as much or as little as they want from it. And anyone here can be as known or anonymous as you wish - fair and square.
So this is just me. I have a hard time when folks don't at least post in their profiles their age and some remote idea of where they're from and what they do. Not that that's a be all and end all, but getting at least a faint idea of a new member makes it easier for me to participate with them.
I don't encourage anyone to reveal more about themselves then they're comfortable with but "knowing" one another, in some way, shape or form is where the good stuff with CS starts. Since I can't think of a single instance of anyone being abused by revealing something about themselves in their profiles I would encourage new guys (and a few older, lost souls) to review their user profile for updates or improvements.
I for one have reviewed my profile and decided anyone who can't make a guess at what "south of Lizard Lick" means geographically just isn't trying hard enough. Come by now, hear?
