Profile Info Blah Blah Blah

Mister Moo

The Pinnacle of Style
I understand coming on to any board and being cautious about personal info. The whole CS experience is a pretty broad thing and any member can get as much or as little as they want from it. And anyone here can be as known or anonymous as you wish - fair and square.

So this is just me. I have a hard time when folks don't at least post in their profiles their age and some remote idea of where they're from and what they do. Not that that's a be all and end all, but getting at least a faint idea of a new member makes it easier for me to participate with them.

I don't encourage anyone to reveal more about themselves then they're comfortable with but "knowing" one another, in some way, shape or form is where the good stuff with CS starts. Since I can't think of a single instance of anyone being abused by revealing something about themselves in their profiles I would encourage new guys (and a few older, lost souls) to review their user profile for updates or improvements.

I for one have reviewed my profile and decided anyone who can't make a guess at what "south of Lizard Lick" means geographically just isn't trying hard enough. :D Come by now, hear?

:r maybe I'll update my profile. first I'll have you critique it, :tu

Matt's profile reveals name, state, age and a little seaching shows he is a Pepin Whore (over 15,000 reads on that read - fantastic). Matt is assumed to be male, walks erect and likes the color orange.

Big'ito - your profile is spartan, yet still a tapestry. Many could use your profile as a model of almost-excellence.

I hope this quick critique is helpful to newguys.

:r that works for me I added my skype name and go to smoke and job.

Please check my profile then feel free to ask me some uncomfortable personal questions in this thread. I have things to hide but am willing to provide full disclosure in the interest of entertainment.

I'm pretty sure I'm somewhat to the west of Lizard Lick. More toward the tail than the licker! :r

You didn't list your favorite bakery/cake baker.

Moo - after some deliberation I am going to remove from my profile my age. I included it figuring I could curry some respect as a new member.A short time here reading and posting has shown this to have been a most foolish gesture!!:D:D:D Jerry- now only 39!

I'm a whore... I'm not sure if my profile reveals that but I am ;) HAHA

I'm cautious to list my age usually because people make very general assumptions based on my age as it correlates to my experiences with Cigars... so I usually just leave that out

this is so true- I'm 22 but I look like I'm 12 (as I am reminded every single time I buy beer/go to the bar/ casino/ cigar shop etc... lol) The BOTL's here don't seem to judge much on that though :tu As for the FBI finding you or the next serial killer- probly pretty safe :) probably...... :al

I didn't think that anybody actually read the profiles.:ss Now that I know that at least one person does, I've taken off what little personal information that was posted originally.:tu

I don't like to post my address or age.

To much internet fraud going on and sometimes that info can get in the wrong hands.

Its amazing the info you can get with just a name and your age will narrow the year you were born down.

Anita has my info, if she sees fit she will give it to you.

Please don't. I am 59 and feel that I am already over-the-hill for this forum. Don't isolate me any more. :) Please!

I'll update a bit over time.
