Remember where you smoked a certain cigar?

My fiancee thinks it's amazing that I can recall where I was when I smoked a certain cigar. Anyone else have this "skill"? And for me it's not even special cigars. I can remember where I was and what I was doing when I smoked a certain cigar for the first time. I can also remember which cigars I smoked on certain trips.

Some examples...

My first Edge Corojo was a tip from a guy at Edwards on my trip to Tampa.

My first Opus was on the ride home from the Augusta Mall when I was in college.

When I went to LA last summer I didn't smoke for 5 days but the first cigar I had when we got back was a CAO Italia Piazza.

Funny how that sticks in my mind. I mean I go through 3 or 4 a day while working and most of those I don't remember. But I can recall any vacation and remember exactly what I smoked and in what order.

Never really thought about it in those terms but...

Yes... there are certain cigars that I remember smoking at a specific time or place... hard to say if it was the cigar that initiates the recall or some other memory of the time and place...

And like you it's not always a special cigar... my memories range from trying a Havana Honey one evening mowing the yard (big mistake...lol) to an Opus X in Del Friscos in Dallas (could also have been the cigar girl cutting and lighting the cigar that I remember as well...lol).

Sometimes, I can remember what I had this weekend at Cigarfest, got there Friday night and had a Padron Maduro 3000 then went to the Rocky Patel opening thing and had an Olde World Reserve Maduro Toro and then at the same party had an Edge Maduro Torpedo. Then Saturday morning at the brunch had a Cusano Corojo 97 while talking to Joe Chuisano-great guy-then at Cigarfest had a Cao Maduro Toro, CI Anniverary Toro and a Alec Bradley Maxx robusto, then after that at the CAO party had a Cao Brazillia. It was an awesome weekend.

Now I did smoke 8 cigars in the space of one evening at a cigar lounge in Indianapolis a few years ago... the only thing I remember is that I started with a couple of Oliva "O"s (damn.. I still wish they made those!) and how big my head felt walking back to my hotel...LOL!

I have memories of my 1st Cuban, a Monte #4. I had heard about them for so long. The cigar was unique to anything I had tried before. I've enjoyed them from time to time even though I moved on to stronger or more complex cigars. Another cigar was memorable for a vacation in Cancun. I smoked it in the lobby/bar of the Hilton. I had another on a beach. I also remember my 1st Padron 1964, I was certainly not let down by the hype.

I remember I was on the open air top floor of the parking deck in the town where I work when I smoked my first (and only ) Tamboril and Cremosa for Klug's "Worst Cigar Contest". I think the vomit is still on one of the parking blocks. :pu

I'm surprised she didn't bring up that you forget/forgot about other things relating to her.

My girlfriend is amazed at my knowledge of random things, but gets angry when I forget to tell her something, or forget something from our past :hn
