REVIEW - Illusione f9

Well, let me just say this......you better keep a phone handy in case you need to call your mommy. WOWZAH, was this bad boy strong.....IMHO.

It looked beautiful before I snipped the end and prepared it for enjoyment.

I lit the cigar with my Xikar Exodus soft flame torch lighter and immediately knew I better sit down. Good thing I was.

The first inch and a half scared me. Yeah, the nose exhale made me nose water and I could taste the strength of this stick. I almost wanted to call my mommy. It was soooo strong to me.

I made it through the first 2" and things mellowed substabtially, but the peppery tobacco taste lingered and became relaxing and enjoyable. I knew however things would change, as I approached the end of this stogie they did!

True to it's beginning the strength started to pick back up towards the last third. Delightfully strong and peppery. Zingy is a word that came to my toungue. Not tingly, but zingy.....yes sir.

Overall, a very kickin' cigar. If your a light-hearted smoker, you should probably avoid this baby. If you like some get-up-and-go, then this is a cigar for you to select the next time you are going to enjoy a cigar.

And if you don't "nose-exhale" you'll miss the true strength.

This was a gift in the bombing run on me by Hurricane6. Thanks Rick for a true experience I won't soon forget!!

Nice review - I love these - actually I love all the Illusiones I have tried - I have an M7, that Costa very graciously sent me, that I am going to smoke this weekend. Never had one of those.

Good review brother!! Thanks for the warning !! I will wait for a while untill I try one of these bad boys!!

Jon:ss

Nice review! Had one a few weeks ago and yes, they are darn good! I didn't think it was all that strong but did get the sweat going. :ss

The Illusione f9 - 6.25 x 44; Nice review on this stick Scott. Never have had the pleasure yet of burning one of these sticks, but appears to be right up my alley though. Sounds like I'll need to place a saddle on this bad boy before riding it...:ss

I have been a huge fan of the Illusione ever since I found them for the first time in mid February... I personally love the 4/2g (Double Corona) because you get to enjoy the stick through its full development over a longer period of time... I have yet too smoke their 1 (A)...and am looking forward to running up to Reno NV this summer to grab a couple directly from Dion....(Dion is the owner of both the B&M Fumare and the Illusione brand)...

Your review was spot on. Sad to say this one was too much for my tender taste buds. If you like cigars with kick this one has it. :tu

I was gifted two F9s from gnukfu!!! Thanks George!!!

The F9 seemed stronger to me than the 88! I think the length had a lot to do with this! Still very yummy!:tu

Thanks for the review!!!

No problemo Darrell! I like using you as a guinea pig! "Hmm he's still posting to the board, so those didn't kill him - guess they're OK for me to try."

I'm hallucinating from all these Illusiones...or something like that.

Thanks, Scott... your review was right on... helpful for anybody looking to smoke one of these. :D

I am really enjoying the Illusione line right now. :tu

Just picked one up the other day, along with the 888. Anxious to give it a whirl, but waiting for a good heavy meal before trying it based off of what i've been seeing on this post. Great review. Probably sit down with a thick beer to smoke this one.
