I am right handed, and I use both hands for smoking, just depends on where I am, and what I'm doing.

Burning tobacco goes in right.

Liquid refreshment goes in left.

Unless the liquid refreshment overides the mind's ability to differentiate. ;)

If I did something like this, it might force me to use my left hand if I wanted to smoke and use the mouse at the same time (can't use a mouse with my left hand either). Currently, I don't use an ashtray since I smoke outside, so I am always holding the cigar.

Jinny, I love your avatar by the way.
I can't always hold my cigar when I'm online... I type slow enough with both hands, trying to type with one is just rediculous... I put my cigar down a lot... come to think of it, the surfing the net thing my also contribute to having to relight often.

and thanks, in case you were wondering, the avatar is a modified Montecristo No.2 band... but I suspect, by your user name, that you may have guessed.

Right handed, but smoke with the left. I hold my drink in the right. I always have a beverage of some sort when I smoke.

That's true... I forgot about my drinks :)

Got to smoke outside and dont use an ashtray so i always hold in the left hand and drink or the laptop in the right

woohoo another laptopper! wait, if you are always holding your cigar, are you typing with one hand? or holding it in your mouth when typing?

I'm an equal opportunity smoker. Sometime right hand, sometimes left hand. I might pull the trigger sometime and use my right now mostly for a change of pace though. LOL :D

I can smoke with my right, I just don't like to. I am a lefty so the left hand feels natural. Plus I mouse with the right, so that will come in handy if I ever go wireless or can smoke inside. I light with it in my left as well. I have found that there are more lefties comfortable with doing things right handed, and working a lighter for me is one. Golfing is another. Anyways, Left and Left was my vote.

Normally the right hand (am right-handed) but if I have something else on the go (drink, scratch, reading) it would likely be the left. Now that it;s chilly in the evenings, I alternate to keep the hands warm.

I'm right-handed but since I do most of my smoking in the car, I hold my cigar with the left hand by the cracked window.

When I'm not driving, I still hold it in the left hand.

Force of habit.

Right handed, smoke with right mostly but don't mind switching if the right hand is needed elsewhere! So I checked both...

I like the Ron White method for looking cool, Drink and smoke in one hand...:)

Right handed smoke with right. Interestingly enough I noticed last night the ONLY time I really use my left is when I'm down to that last inch and I have to try a different position to get the nub in my mouth and NOT burn my fingers at the same time. For somereason that nub just seems to work better being held in my oposite hand.... with my my elbow twisted high.... and my head half cocked..... well you get my drift. When it is so good that you're nubbing it all the rules go out the window!:)

You'll do almost anything to make it last just a tad bit longer.

I guess the important question would be: which hand do you hold the toothpick when you're nubbing a cigar?

I smoke with both...I can't have one set of fingers getting more developed than the others, right?!?!?

KASR

Depends on which way the wind is blowing sometimes or which way I'm leaning in my seat. I think it's mainly the right hand, though - I'm right-handed.
