In my opinion, RP has blends range from really good (Decade, Edge) to really nasty (R4). Almost as a rule, the retailer specific blends (CI's RP Connecticut, Fusion, R4 and Famous' American/Cuban/et. al. blends) tend to sit on the lower end of the scale. At best they are passable, at worst, they are compost material.
The Vintage 90/92 seems to be a bit closer to the Decade/Edge side. Not quite as good as the Decade in my opinion, but still good. Most of the blends you can find at B&Ms, I find tend to be at least decent, if not very good.
I think the only exception to that is the Vintage 1999. I've only tried two of those, and quite frankly it was like smoking cardboard. It was flat and dull. I tried very hard to like it, but it just wasn't worth the $8+/cigar that my B&M was charging for them. It could have been duds, but based on that experience alone, I don't think I'll bother with the Vintage 99's.
But as long as Rocky makes the Decade and the Edge, I'll continue to buy his stuff (well, OWR maduro too, I like those as well).
