Rocky Patel Decade

Very good review! I've had a box since CigarFest - only smoked one. You have me wanting to get another one out. Rocky did good with this one.

Thank you, I did one one the Vintage 1990 last night but I don't think anyone liked it.

Nah, the '90 has been around - so it might be a bit played out. No big deal. The gorillas might not comment but I think it's safe to say they appreciate the effort. :tu

Nice review, I got a box of the toro size at a Rocky Patel event back in May and have only smoked 2. I'm waiting to get another box before I start smoking them up.

I'm looking for another box myself, I really love these. His best blend IMHO.

I bought 7 RP Decade Torpedos at my B&M for $11.50/stick. Two of them had plugs in two different spots of the cigar!!

:(

Overall, a pretty decent smoke....

I am on my deck as I write this smoking one of these fine sticks. I am a complete noob, and with few exceptions have enjoyed everything that I have tried. I picked up a RP sampler on the devil site and this is the first one I have tried. FAR and AWAY the best smoke I have had so far. I don't know what the hell I am talking about when it comes to these things yet. But I do know that I could sit out here tonight and smoke all 4 that I have, for what its worth.

Christmas is coming up and I want to snag my dad a box of something. He's always liked Rocky and they're usually consistent--but what sort of body are these, compared to say, the fusions and vintages? He's not really a "powerhouse" type smoker.

It is veryfull on flavor but medium in body. The spice is subtle and not overbearing like a Pepin. It is definintley a great smoke. I think it is more well rounded than both the fusion and vintage and I like them both. I don't think he will be knocked for a loop on it and it is so darn tasty. It smokes cool and has a creaminess and some toast. He will love it and if not, tell him you will take them off his hands for him.

I agree, and thanks for the review.

The Decade is probably RP's best blend and the day he discontinues it, I will be a very sad panda.

The only "danger" of being knocked for a loop is if he smokes it too fast--been there, done that, because it's so tasty.

It's the only cigar I consistently rely on my trusty "nubbing tool" (aka, toothpick).
