I'd been ogling these in the catalogs for a couple of months, and recently Orca99usa hit me up with one each of the Fusion, Fusion MM and Fusion DC. So a great big THANK YOU to Orca, and you guys hit him up with some RG! :tu

Although I've only had these in my humi for about 6 days, I couldn't stay away any longer and I had to try one. Construction was beautiful, with a nice tight roll and no obvious defects that I could spot. I decided to have this with a couple fingers of Crown Royal.

Right after lighting, I got a really nice flavor of toffee with the first good draw, but alas, that was fleeting and not to reappear.

Throughout the cigar I found it to have a really nice earthy, woodsy flavor.

I developed a bit of a canoe, much to my chagrin, but perhaps this was not unexpected as I found the draw on this one a bit tight. Nevertheless, it was a worthwhile smoke, and one that I look forward to trying again soon. I will definitely pick up a 5-pak of these and let them get a little quality humi time in.

Smoke time was right at an hour, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. THANK YOU again, to Orca99usa for graciously and generously sharing these sticks with me. I will review the Fusion MM and the DC in the coming weeks. I want to let them sit a little longer before smoking.

:ss

I've got some coming this week and can't wait to try them, but alas I need to let them sit in my humidor for awhile before I partake.

The wrapper can be an issue with the Fusion. Try to keep them in optimum conditions. Great flavor just the worst wrapper issues I've ever experienced. :2

Glad to see visual evidence that you enjoyed the stick. Your review pretty much tells me that the wrapper problems I had were probably from the stick being too dry. Now that they have been in my humidor for a while I will try another one. I loved the flavor but my wrapper issues were pretty severe.

I smoked a MM this morning and I didn't have any wrapper issues. The several in the humi have been resting for about a month. I have had problems with smoking them too soon. Rest is needed for these sticks.:tu

The MM is a different animal entirely. The flavor is a lot more complex, and as a general rule I have had far less wrapper issues with maduros. If the Fusion had a maduro wrapper it would be just about ideal.

Picked up 10 of these off Cbid a couple of weeks ago (the non MM variety). They are supposed to be a blend of the Vin 90 and 92?

Granted I've only had one of them so far and, I've had dozens of 92s and only a few 90s but, I just wasn't getting that. It was a tasty Rocky but I just wasn't able to pick that out really.

Good stuff none the less.

Thanks for the review. I missed out on that Fusion, MM, DC sampler, so I'll have to find a way to get my hands on some.

I'm a fan of the RP Vintage.

Great review and beautiful pics! I've found these to be a bit hit or miss (actually I find all of Rocky's stuff to be that way).

I picked up a 5-er a few months ago off the devil site and have enjoyed one every few weeks or so up until earlier this week I lit the last of 5 up and it was harsh and very 1-dimensional unlike the others. Found myself I would never buy these again but of course we've all said that before haven't we. Still would like to fire up a maduro to see how that would go. Looking over this post though, looks like the Fusion is a winner.
