Rocky Patel ITC 10 Year Robusto Review

Good morning, Fellow Gorillas! After not having a smoke for 5 days, I decided to fire up a Rocky Patel 10 Year Anniversary Robusto I purchased from Mel at Cheaper Cigars on 11/30/07. I stored it in my humi @ 67RH with 69% Boveda Packs. I prefer a slightly moistened cigar, so 67% works for me. The weather has been cold and rainy in Mobile over the last 5 days, averaging 35-45 degrees , so I had to take advantage of a clear, cool morning! 7:40 A.M. Sunday took my 13 year old little Shit-Zu dog, "Dixie" out for her morning walk. Clipped 1/8" off the head with my new double-blade cutter I received from Rob @Taboo Cigars with his sampler pack. Toasted the foot with my new triple torch lighter, also from Rob. My new go-to lighter! Thanks, Rob! After 2 touchups with the lighter, ( I'm still learning how to light a stick evenly without charring the foot!), the ITC is ready to go! Slight initial spicy tones noted with smooth tobacco flavor. Light gray ash for 1.5 " before falling on its own. Nice, thick smoke! The cigar smoked very evenly throughout with no touchups! It was basically one-dimensional throughout the rest of the smoke after the initial touch of spice. 62 minutes later, I nubbed it @ 8:42 A.M. Draw was perfect! I noted a smooth, cool, medium "tobacco" taste throughout! The stick smoked coolly even to the nub with no aftertaste! Had a good "nicotine buzz" at the end that left me a little "Woozy" on my empty stomach! I definitely need to wait for a full meal before firing up that Partagas Black! Overall 10/10 Rating! Great morning cigar! I love me some RP!!!

Nice review! Yeah I dig that lighter from Taboo too, it's got some fire power for sure!

Thanks for the review. I've really only liked the Edge in RP up to this point, but with the new stuff they got coming out, I need to give RP another shot.

Awesome RP review. Suhweeeeeeeeeeeeeet. :tu

I love RP cigars and I think the ITC is the only one I have yet to have. I think I'll be on the lookout from now one.

I know this is old, but I am about to go smoke my first one, and was looking for a review.. sounds like its going to go great with my cup o joe :) Thanks!
Scott
