RP Edge quest.

yea sorry i wasnt a little clearer.. im a few glasses of evan williams deep :) looks similar to the maduro... which i thought was like the off whiteish band.. someone gave me two of them today.. just wasnt sure which edge they were.. ive only had the lights
 
I though this thread was about your search for edges

I didn't think they were too hard to find

Yip, you got the Edge Corojo.
 
If its the sumatra it'll be harder to find. They stopped making them to use the wrapper for the decade.
 
Sumatra has a red band. The Corojo is more of a white. The Maduro is gold.

This is the corojo. I do believe the band colors changed some a while ago. But I am pretty sure the gold band is Maduro. YMMV
 
Yeah I picked up a Corojo gold band Edge a while back. Wasn't sure what to make of it, it was sort of shiny, as compared to the matted light brown color I'm used to seeing with the Edge Corojos.
 
Guess I got lucky. I had an Edge Sumatra pretty recently and thought it was great, figuring I'd definitely buy more. I liked it a lot more than the '92 Vintage. Shame to here they stopped wrapping them with Sumatra.

I you search around you can still find a few vendors that have the Sumatras in stock.

I'm pretty confident my B&M in Hoboken (where I got my RP Sumatra from) probably still has a whole bunch more. The store isn't crazy busy so I'm betting I can still find them there. If there are I will be picking up a few more :)

Smoked one of these corjo's tonight... a little spicy.. but not a strng stick.. only thing is.. there was black dye all over me:hn
