Disclaimer: I have only been smoking cigars since a little before xmas, so I could be totally out in left field with this "review" I didn't post it in the reviews section because I am not sure that given my newbieness, I would necessarily want others to be guided by my impressions so YMMV.

Had one of the extra fuerte line when I first started smoking cigars a couple of weeks ago and remember almost nothing about it. Smoked this one today and I gotta say I ahve found a new favorite.

Great looking wrapper, dark and shiny looking, great cut, great draw, burned a tiny bit uneven at times but self correcting.

The taste was phenomenal. Started out peppery and woody and was good, but I was hoping for a bit of sweetness as in my favorite cigar JDN Antano. Well I wasn't dissapointed, It got sweeter as it smoked down, pepper stayed but not as dominant and a cumin like flavor also crept in. Of the cigars that I have smoked, I would rate this right behind JDN antano. I loved the flavor and the price is great too. I can see a box of these in my future.

Anybody else tried this or the xtra feurte line? Aint it delicious? What do you think?

EDIT: Forgot to mention, and this is important to me, they are pretty darned inexpensive. Hey! I'm not proud, they're cheap ok? $3.15 at the local b&m :)

I found an older box at a B&M only 4 sticks short. They are the Cordoba size. I think the B&M's humi was on the dry side. I smoked one the other night. It was a little harsh. I hope some time in 65% RH will do them good. For the price, the construction is great. The attendant said they were about a year old, and the cello is yellow for sure. I hope they come around.
Great review, IMO.:tu

A few years back, that was one of my favorites. Smoked some different cigars of various $. Just ordered a box of Sancho Panzas again. Great smoke for the money. I also like the double maduros.

This is an absolutely fantastic smoke and one of my favorites! The pamplona was the first box that I ever bought! Loved it then, and now!

Good review!

IMHO, the EX-F is a tremendous smoke with headier beverages. But when hot-chocolate is the beverage of choice, I'll step down a nothch to the double maduro.

I haven't tried the Extra Fuerte line, but I do love the Double Maduros. Incredibly hard to beat for the price!:ss

I parallel-smoked a Double Maduro La Mancha and a Extra Fuerte Cordoba some time ago. What I found out was that even if both were good cigars the Extra Fuerte Cordoba had a little more character and a certain woodyness and spicyness that I really love. I ordered a box the same night! :D
