Sancho Panza extra fuerte:
I was a bit weary that this was going to be a full bodied smoke that was too much for me to handle. After the light and first puff I was pleased to find this cigar full of flavor but it was a bit too harsh to enjoy. I have many different places I like to enjoy my cigars and one of the more odd places is in the shower. When I take a shower, I like to relax. I sit down in the tub, grab a few books, listen to some music, sometimes I even turn off the lights and turn on a strobe light just to set a strongly medative mood. Well this time I kicked back and read an ethnobotanical book and enjoyed my Extra Fuerte experience. Just to help you visualize how this works, I hang half of my body outside of the shower when I read and smoke.Anyways, back to the cigar. After the first few puffs and about an inch into this red devil, the harsh nature subsided and it really started to impress. This is the type of cigar that will bleed a bit, meaning that a tarry reddish brown substance will stain your fingers if you touch the wet tip. In fact, The cigar even sat for a good 15 minutes and burned very well without going out. I started puffing on it again and it turned into a great smoke by mellowing out greatly. At first it was a bit defensive and harsh but once it became comfortable with me the smoke transformed into a mild stick. The draw was beautiful, perfect, perfect, perfect. It was a very nice experience smoking this. I never liked Sanch Panza.. I smoked a Dub Mad Cervantes because of the reviews on here and I really liked it. The only reason I bought an extra fuerte was because the tobacconist that has a similiar preference to me recommended it. For the price, it was well worth switching up my normal smoking regime. This small little cigar lasted slightly over an hour. I don't know if my palate is just maturing or if this cigar is actually as tame as I claim. I never really liked anything remotely full bodied but I bought several full bodied smokes last time I hit up the smoke shop. I wish I could have explained the flavor a bit more but I'm not very good at doing so unless I smoke my cigars in the morning. I would recommend smoking this as an after dinner cigar. Also, I was a bit light headed after ending this demon, wasn't nessessarily a nic bomb but wasn't too far from being one.
One last note.. While finishing this cigar I noted a sort of rum or whisky type flavor as I blew it out of my nose. This was very pleasant but I could only exhale through my nose a few times before I started to classify it as a 'Nose Tickler' (Increasing in intensity my rating scale goes "Nose Tickler, Nose Pincher, Nose Biter") but it wasn't that bad. Give one a try, they aren't too expensive. This is the Sancho Panza with the Red Label.
Can someone please tell me what the word 'Fuerte' means (I pronounce it Fwu err tay, is this correct)?
