Sleazy Cigar Shop - Gives cigars a bad name?

Today I walked into Blooms in Pittsburgh Southside. The selection was amazing, anything you want, it was there. A large quantity of aged cigars as well. So that part I can't complain about, however it had a sleazy factor to it. There were pictures of naked biker chicks hung up around the place, and as soon as you walk into the shop there's a large table stacked to the brim with ***** magazines. Probably about 50 of them. I don't know, but I felt it gave cigar shops a bad name. Had this weird feel to it, can't really describe it. It just wasn't the same feel you get when you walk into a cigar store/parlor. Anyone been here or feel like my feelings were just silly?
 
I'm not sure how comfortable I'd feel in there myself. I don't think your reaction is strange at all.
 
I find that very unappealing. If you wanted naked chicks go to a strip club, not a cigar bar. I think they are limiting their clientelle by portraying themselves as such :2

Seriously though, the only magazines I care to have in my local B&M are either cigar or sports related. I guess though that the owner figures it is a place catering to men and it is a proven fact that most men like gratuitious nudity. My better half accompanies me to the local shops a lot of times and I am sure she does not want to see nudie mags laying around everywhere.
 
There should be no nudity displayed on the walls. IMO, Playboy is acceptable. My local B&M carries Playboy. Playboy and other magazines are stored on the bottom of the TV stand.
 
If they are successful I guess they know their customers. I wouldn't want to be there but I am not comfortable telling someone else how to run their business. Cigars couldn't get much more of a bad name after clinton...

Yea, that's kind of a weird atmosphere. If the place seems kinda sketchy, might be careful with what cigars you buy there.

i might have to make a trip out there. i love ****:pp. j/k not really. but i dont think i would feel comfortable in a stogie shop looking at ****. or hanging out with people who like this sort of thing:chk
 
That place has been around for almost a hundred years from what understand. They have the biggest walk in I have ever seen. It's kind of "tradition" there but I also find it rather odd. They also have a Christmas party every year and he hires tons of strippers and the whole place gets crazy. Most of the pics you see hanging in the humidor are from the Christmas parties.
