Smoke With Wife/GF?

Well the other night was going out for a stogie and the gf tagged along. She ended up sharing it and she quite enjoyed it. Now she wants to try other ones. Not sure if this is a good or bad thing, lol. Though if she's smoking them too she can't get mad at me for dropping a bit more then I should on stogies. So my question, anyone else ever smoke with their wife/gf/significant other? :ss

My wife's tried smoking cigars on occasion but struggles. Too strong for her I suppose.

I think her boyfriend may be a cigar smoker.:hn:hn

An old g/f used to like to smoke MC Afriques on the roof with me. She had other less desirable traits and we ended up parting company. Good while it lasted.

I always wanted a GF that was into cigars, but it would be a little weird. Plus I wouldn't want to have to share my collection with anyone else! :tu

Your wife has a boyfriend?

Sorry, I don't know whether that's a good thing or a bad thing for you.

When my wife at the time got a boyfriend, that was a good thing for me.:r

Me and my wife smoke together all of the time I find that it makes it more enjoyable when we shop we always make sure to get twice as many incase the other ends up liking them (and if she don't twice as much for me) I am very lucky and married to a wonderful woman we can sit out side and smoke together relax and have a conversation I wouldn't want it any other way just my :2

Ah, Fenwick! It sounds like I may be in the same boat as you were.

Things have been bad for a LOOOOONG time and I finally filed for divorce.

I'm really not sure if she has a BF, but either way is just fine. Let someone else deal with her BS. It's over for me!:chk

I don't think it is either good or bad.

On one hand it is nice to have her be interested enought in your hobby to at least try it.
On the other, you might enjoy the break away from her.

If she ocassionally joins you for a smoke, then that is great, one more thing for the two of you to share.

I say enjoy it and see where it goes. Think of all that you can teach her and of all the things she may pick up for the both of you to try.

About 5 years ago I had a gf who smoked cigars. It started out like you described. At first it was a shared cigar and she just took a couple of puffs. That led to many more puffs soon she wanted her own cigar. Then she discovered that she liked my CC's the best. It finally got to the point that she would hit my humidor for some sticks to go to last her till we got together again. She eventually got a job in another state and that over time ended our relationship.

Was it a good thing or bad thing? Good without a question. The times we shared smoking together far out weighted the additional cost of suppling her with cigars. It is far better to have a gf who enjoys and shares your love for cigars then one who nags at you about it. After all what does the added expense really amount to? It's only money and you can' take it with you.

Count your blessings and enjoy it as long as it lasts.

My wife(SAILKAT) does enjoy a few hits off any smoke but gets a little weazy if she tries to puff down a whole smoke. She loves the people and the HERFS and enjoystrying all types of smokes. She's a darn goos SOTL:tu:tu

I would love to sit and smoke with my wife just to spend more time with her and let her enjoy the finer points of cigars with me. But for some reason she prefers, or should I say, her asthmatic condition prefers, that she breathe smokeless air. Dang lungs.:hn

Ah,my gf doesn't quite like it but she tolerates it, depending on what cigar it is. However, shes cool about it as long as the winds not blowing smoke towards her and because she realizes that in an odd way my cigar smoking is how we met. Still havent gotten her to try it, but toleration is the first step.

Sorry about the previous post. Must be combat stress related.

Mrs. TikiHut sometimes comes out to visit me when I am bank fishing at the pier. Sometimes she will raid the Otterbox. This always amuses my fishing buddies. She is pretty tolerant of my smoking and I am very lucky. I enjoy my "me" time, but I don't want there to be too much "me" time and not enough "us" time, if you follow.

Turned on a girl I date to cigars last year, now she has her own humidors, posts on another board and does passing, bombing, Etc... I created a Monster. ;) :r

Maybe I will get a chance to burn one with her Sunday, it has been a while since we smoked one together.

Yes, genuine "us" time is SO imperative to a successful relationship. As long as it is truly relaxing, fulfilling and connecting for both parties.

When "us" time gets to the point where it's "did you do this?", "did you call this person?", etc. it's time to bail out.

Time to go hide in the crawl space!

My wife smokes with me all the time, when I'm home that is. I would recommend (if you want her to continue smoking with you anyway) the Drew Estate Java or the CAO flavour line. That is what my wife likes. They take some of the edge off a normal cigar and they are smaller.

My hottie smokes with me all the time!! I think it's great!! She was immeditely able to discern flavor characteristics of cigars. Just another interest we share that makes her that much more appealing to me. :) And is it just me, or is it super-sexy when an attractive woman is smoking a stogie? :)

Last night I had an Oliva Series O Maduro, and she had a CAO Moontrance.
