Smoking cigars while playing Softball?

I dont know about playing while smoking.

But when I watch my daughters games I always light one up. :ss

Once a year me and a bunch of guys have our fantasy draft/camping weekend at the ocean and we play whiffleball. Everyone has to keep a beer in hand while in the field. I think this year I will try to get it to beer cup in hand and stogie in mouth.

It would be uncommon if you weren't fat and playing softball.:r


I'm usually lighting a shorty up before the game and then since the Capts have to ump the next game I'll be behind the plate with another one. :ss good stuff!
 
When I was on a team, it was never uncommon to find me with a stogie patrolling the outfield.
As far as being too fat to play softball, Im pretty sure there is a minimum waistline requirement to be able to play.
 
6:30 game today, I'll be enjoying a Don Pepin CC while patiently waiting. I work right beside the ballfield and live in another state, so I sit and wait. Such a great time to kick back and partake in a good smoke.
 
Unfortunately, most of my games are played on school grounds. So, while it's pretty accepted to get away with chew, a cigar would not fly. I think we play too hard for that anyway. But after, well, no, wait. Yes, I'm still confined to smoking within the confines of my home or at SMokey Joe's. That's it. Otherwise the black helicopters come and carry me off.
 
Guys softball league question...any of you play Co-ed Slowpitch and allow only girls to use Fast Pitch bats?


How was your last week games?
League 1---We lost 14-13 :mad:
League 2--We got creamed in one inning 6-12.
 
Well, I am the type that preffers lighting a cigar only when I'll sit down the whole time; relaxing with a good drink to pair and good company to share.
 
Well if we're hitting well then I'll have time to light up those mini cigars...and with the boys happy I'll have company too! :D

I don't believe so, but even playing co-ed some still try to skirt the rules.

We've been playing quite well. Two weeks ago we beat a team we haven't beat in the 5yrs of playing there and almost rallied to take the win last week in the last inning against another unbeatable. I grabbed a nice inside homer, a triple and a couple of nice doubles with RBI's.

Can't smoke on the field in this league, though it gets very competitive so I leave the playing-stogies for another not so skilled league.

Sounds awesome. Do you guys ever keep track of stats? I just started doing it with my team and now we have our own little web site with stats and what not. Its pretty fun :)
 
I would love for our team to keep stats but we get so wrapped up in the game we forget all about the book. A few teams in my leagues keep stats very well..it's fun to see who the power hitters are and who are the guys that spray singles everywhere.

Sweet! We do not as we don't have the extra hands to really keep track. It would be nice for the coach to have factual reason to make adjustments and for players to see their performance.

I know I have one official face-plant rounding second. :r
