I just wanted to correct myself. If anyone needs pectin to fix up the wrappers, you'll find it in the "canning supplies" section of the grocery store. A packet costs a couple of dollars and contains enough pectin to fix a lot of cigars.

... that's about 1/2 full of cigars that are pretty popular, though you aren't particularly fond of them. They're taking up space in your humidor and pretty much every stick that remains in the box has some kind of wrapper damage. What's your move? Throw 'em out? You can't sell or trade them and you certainly can't give them out looking the way they do. They're pretty much valueless, but I still have a hard time throwing 12 cigars away. Thoughts?

Too late to get in on this one, but I've got a question:

How does one use the pectin?

Mix it up with a little water to the consistency of--say--thick pancake batter or wallpaper paste, and slap it on with a small paint brush.
