and of coarse the proper way to eat it is take a big ol scoop of the cake with 1 of them there great big ol spoons carlos dishes out the grub with and then
bite,bite,pass no bogartin the spoon and please scoop enough to make it around the circle
lol
and brandon as fer drinkin yup i was talkin with mitch and we gonna drink some good scotch this year so if you can find a bottle of the laguvallan(sp) bring 1 please as i gots some 21 yr balvenie and 25 mac i is bringin and perhaps we should have us a martini to salute the famous/infamous sir fireforge.
and you know flip will be drunk lol
AND BY THE WAY THIS HERF HAPPENS TO FALL ON MY BIRTHDAY!

What a herf it was!!
Guess I'm the first one to write something about the herf.
MAN, IT WAS GRAND!!!
My thanks to Poker and all the SoCAl herfs (Poker's Patio Posse) for putting together a most memorable herf.
What a great chance it was to meet some of the greats on this BB and herf along with some of the most knowledgeable and good hearted cigars lovers there are (out there).
My hats off to all those whom I got to meet and smoke with.

I would also like to say thanks to Poker and the SoCal Crew. As always, I had a great time. Great people, good smokes and digustingly good weather (heat index should hit 110 here again today). The food at both the Gardena Bowl and Poker's kicked ass.
Can't wait until SoCal VI. Hopefully, this will be the year I make it to LOL.

Well, another great gathering took place this last weekend. Good food, great cigars, lots of laughter & best of all, all the fantastic people that attended.
As those that have put on events such as this, know how much planning and work goes into gatherings such as this. Not an easy task, yet so rewarding in getting to see old faces & new ones. I believe everyone had a good time (or so I was told LOL).
We're still tallying up the proceeds and will donate all profits to a local non-profit orginazation that is still being decided on.
Events such as this would not exist if all the people didnt show up, so first and formost the SoCal Patio Posse would like to thank each and every one of you that attended. Next, we would like to thank Mitchell Orchant from C-Gars Ltd in London for taking the time out of his schedule to join us again this year and again for his generous donations to the raffle, auction, and all the cigars he just handed out freely.
We would also like to thank Wal Baranow for his generous contribution to the raffle & auctions.
Finally, we would like to acknowledge & thank all the attendees who donated many rare cigars, wine, booze, humidors, cutters, ashtrays, etc. towards this event.
On behalf of of the SoCal Patio Posse, we thank you one and all, old friends & new. The memories will last forever (except when FlipFlop was the Hooters Girl....yuk LOL)

Not sure if I'm included as one of the 'fantastic people' who attended, but had the usual great time at SoCal V.
It was nice seeing many 'old' friends, and also meeting some great folks for the first time. Also smoked many awesome cigars throughout the weekend.

Wonderful time once again! Great to see everyone and to meet some new herfers! Thanks to the P.P.P. and especially to poker for once again, 5 years running, opening his home to me. I appreciate it Bro and a SoCal herf wouldn't be the same without hanging at your place! Thanks to Barry for the great time at his place on Sunday and to drillr for frying up the chicken, fish and chips! Smoked many grand cigars, a few drinks, too much food and loads of fun! Thanks again to everyone!!
Thanks again to all the Socal folks for making this such a fantastic event!!! I thoroughly enjoyed meeting up with all the light and dark-skinned brothers... new and old faces.
