Stop Lurking and Start Joining!

For me I will only post if I can make a contribution to the forums or to be part of some thing not just to post. That and I learn more too.
 
some people just want to glean the knowledge but are not internet forum chatters. kwim?

Just like some people have been here forever but have never traded. Same thing.
 
I generally look over a forum for about 5 minutes, and I can see if its somewhere I want to be. If its where I want to be, I register. If its not, I don't register, and never come back to browse.

I think this one falls under the "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" philosophy, with the addition of "if you don't have anything helpful, relevant, contributory, relatively intelligent or humorous to say..."

I think there is a high percentage of those who join, are active for quite a while...say 100 or so posts, then lose interest for whatever reason. If I had paid attention in my Statistics class, I could probably get numbers...but I am too lazy. :ss
 
I was a lurker for a while. I was brand new, looking down the slope and wondering if it was worth heading down. I had been smoking some :BS (Duque) and wasn't sure if it was really for me. Then I had an RP Vintage 90 and down the slope I went. :ss
