I have been looking at putting a combo wine cellar/ humidor in my basement for a while. The problem is that no single component works for both currently. Stuff for wine storage is a little cool, and allows a little more humidity fluctuation than optimal cigar storage. What I have been planning is to build the cellar, keep it just a touch warmer than recommended for wines (about 60), and within that, build a separate cabinet with beads to keep the humidity a little higher and more consistent. Now just waiting to start the basement remodel to get it done.
Edit: And the high end stuff that allows any humidity control with wine is pricey. I may end up pushing 5k to get mine done, and that's including the construction in with the rest of the basement remodel.
