I relized that alot of smokers keep there Cigars in there mouths when they don't puff, I guess they like the wet tobaaco tase or what ever, and I think most take it out and hold it in thier hands and some even put it down. I personnely don't like the smoke moving in to my nostrils If I keep it in my mouth.

The question of the day is.
DO YOU KEEP THE CIGAR IN YOUR MOUTH ALOT OR YOU TAKE IT OUT IN BETWEEN PUFFS.????

For photo ops, I put it in my mouth...and to take a draw. Other than that, it's in my hand or on the ash tray. For me, I try to keep her as dry as possible. :ss
 
I take it out, whether I put it down or just hold it. I also hate the smoke going up my nose and into my eyes.
 
I pretty much leave it in all the time and chew on the end. Thing looks like hell by the time I'm done with it but it still smokes good.
 
I can't stand to keep it a cigar in my mouth because the smoke irritates my nose and my eyes. I mostly hold it in my hand between puffs.
 
A little of both, I suppose. I like to run the tip of my tongue across the cut. Usually, I rest it in my hand but sometimes I tongue the tip (that sounds a little off :dr) to get the flavor of the 'baccy.
 
I keep it out of my mouth and hide it under the table, so the wife can't find out about it, then I take what I call, "Dry Supersecret Batman Puffs"
I then read questionable cigar magazines and dream about the "lifestyle" of "wet," "out of the closet" smoking. After that, I take 14 lemons, put one in my mouth, gripping tightly by my two front teeth, (thanks for the suggestion, Tiny Tim) thoroughly zest them with a microplane, I fling the happy yellow frills about the room in a manic state (cackling, of course), while eyeing the ashtray from across the room, knowing the cigar it contains desires to take the place of the lemon, yet still smoldering in anticipation.

I AM A n00b
With that said I would like to say, that when I started (May) smoking regularly I tended to keep it in my mouth at times (Throwing Darts and such) but as I progressed and Herfed I noticed that I do not put my cigar in my mouth at all but up to my lips more and more. I mean there are times but for the most part I like to keep my cigar dry.

And with herfing I have smoked many a different cigar that has been passed around. Something I thought was kinda gay until I started participating.....
I have smoked some rare, aged and aged rare cigars.
Some I will never smoke again. Some older than some of you here.

Sorry I tend to make short stories Long..

I hold it.
I put it down.
Hell, I eat a samich.
and occasionally I stick it in there and say "You don't wanna try THIS ONE"

and that's my story

To quote a rather well respected gorilla here "the aroma IS the taste".So yes i do like to keep certain cigars in my mouth more then others.The good ones only get better for me the shorter they get...:ss
 
I read somewhere that it is bad manners to hold your cigar in your mouth. But for me, I only put it in my mouth to take a puff. The occasional yard gar will reside in my pie hole for a while if I need both hands to do something and there is no good place to put it down.
