Taboo Twist Review

I couldn't sleep this morning after a early wedding party yesterday. I got up to fix my morning coffee (Gevalia Breakfast Blend- Try some if you're a coffee nut like me!). Rummaged through my Humi, trying to find a good morning smoke to go with my coffee. A Taboo Twist Robusto (5X54) that I got from Rob several months ago in the "Value Pack" was calling my name! I lit this beautifully wrapped cigar with a new triple torch Vector lighter that I got on sale from Rob. Took a draw and noticed something weird. Took several more draws & noticed something very different in this cigars' taste & aroma. It was driving me nuts that I couldn't put my finger on it! I racked my brain & it came to me. This was a citrus flavor! I've read from other BOTLS about this "Citrus" flavor, but have never experienced it myself until now! There it was, a mixture of grapefruit, orange, and tangerine, but leaning toward a grapefruit taste & aroma that persisted throughout the 1 hr. smoke duration! A very pleasant and unusually complex smoke! Burn & draw were very even throughout, and the ash was a solid, light gray, that fell every 1.5". Overall rating: 10/10!

Well tonite was Chumash Casino night, and after reading your review I decided to take one of the Taboos I was generously gifted. Sadly I'm still working on my palet, so I am not very good at picking flavors, but I must say I think I love these! It was the first cigar since I've started smoking cigars (4ish months) that I took all the way down till I had nothing to hold onto! When my tax return comes back I may be needing to place an order with Rob!

Hehe, I just got off the phone with Rob and he said I have more Twists right now than he does. And I don't have that many..... Gotta love a hot moving product.
 
I love these smokes, For one it's also a great conversation piece. I never tasted the fruity parts. But I'm sure it's a great change up. Very nice review!!:ss
 
I had one of these the other day and i was floored how good it was! I had to put my name on the waiting list. I hope that rob can keep the inventory up....the waiting actually hurts:hn
