Taste Change?

Let me first say that the RP 92 has been my "stand by" smoke. I bought several of these when I first started smoking stogies, and this was my first box purchase. However, I haven't smoked these in a while, as I have been smoking Fuente Sungrowns, Fuente Maduro's, CAO Sopranos, and RP Olde World Reserves.

Tonight I thought I would "go back to my roots" and smoke a 92. Sadly, it really wasn't a good experience. It didn't taste bad, but it just didn't live up to my memory of what a 92 should be. I wonder if I got a bad one, or if my taste is just changing? Either way, it was kind of sad that one of my favorite smokes just didn't do it for me.

I've had that happen to me with a few cigars. Fuente 858's and Monte Platinums namely. They are still some of my go-to smokes, and always good, but not what they used to be.
 
I have had this happen too. Some have stayed at less than they used to be some have come full circle.
