Something Psuedo-Clever
Now that my Blacks have had a chance to rest after their travel I figured it was time to spark one up. I got two jars and a fiver from Feb. 2008, so I decided to fire up one the the sticks from the fiver.

This is the third Tat Black I have smoked and 2 of the 3 have been great smokes (albeit a bit fresh.)

This particular one was wonderfully constructed, like the past two I had, and burned flawlessly. The flavors that jumped out at me were strong black coffee and some woody flavor. It seemed very creamy to me and not quite as strong as the other Miami rolled Tats. I'm sure these will do well with a little time to rest.

If you can grab some be sure to do so as these will only get better with time!

Now for the good stuff!

Your dog, you have every right to be proud, those are some nice looking smokes. Thanks for increasing the drool factor on these beauties. :tu

I dont think they ever will be, this is one of those one time shots. I think pete is only going to make the 1000 jars.

However i did read on another board that people that own jars may have the chance to refill them through some special deal with pete!

I heard something similar...but different...only 1000 jars will be released, yet there is some talk, although it be very premature, that there will be later releases of the Tatuaje Blacks without the Jar but in box form...like I said, I heard this third hand from someone in the tobacco industry...
 
RG bump for a great review! How are you storing these in your Vinotemp? Im assuming you'll be aging at least one jar. Foil and Jar? Foiled in Open jar? etc..
 
The black I smoked had some good flavor but was still very wet resulting in some burn issues and it going out about 5x. I think it's safe to say that letting them rest 6 months in the foil will help dramatically like many have said. I smoked a single that I had, the foil packed ones are resting in a humidor to be visited 6-8 months from now.
