Tatuaje Regios (Brown label)

I love Tats (which lends a lot of bias I'll admit), so while taking a break today I grabbed a Regios from the humi from a box dated Nov. 2007. Since I'm new, I figured this would be a great time to do my first 'review'.

The wrapper is dark brown, smooth, oily, with few very fine hair-width veins and a triple cap. A great example of Pepin's quality. Cigar smoking always makes most sense to me in thirds, so hence, my review is in thirds.

First 3rd: Sweet leather with a cedary spice. Briney and peppery. After about 2.5" inches, the ash closest to the wrapper is bright white extending to dingy grey. Perfect draw, delivering tons of white smoke.

2nd 3rd: The briney and mild pepperiness continues but is offset by sweet notes of cocoa and a bit of espresso like bitterness. Cedar and ginger appear on the finish. An enjoyable complexity. The smoke gets creamier and sweeter; intensifing everything else.

Last 3rd: The only noticeable difference is the strength becomes apparent and a leathery sweetness dominates more than anything else. The smoke remains considerable cool, white, and with a rich creamy body.

Conclusion: I command everyone to smoke one of these as soon as possible :) Love'em.

Glad you enjoyed it, I highly recommend these smokes to most anyone. I remember the first one I had prompted a 5er buy the next day.
