which series do you guys like the p or the havana i think they are both about the same price. just wondering which one to try first. ive heard such good things.

I vote for the Havana VI. Great smoke. Also try the new La Riqueza blend. My current fav. is the La Riqueza PC's and Cabaiguan Guapos.

It's probably hard to beleive, but I have only smoked one tat in my entire cigar career. I snagged a black at my shop cause Jim said it was going to be his last box. I know everyone likes tat's and the blacks were becoming hard to find, so I decided to try one. It was very good. So, that is my favorite by default. I will have to try some more.

Havana VI >>> P series

The P series tastes fine but it's mixed filler. The Havana VI is all long filler and tastes amazing.

Long filler is a higher quality smoke... the leaves used are carefully selected to meet the blender's specifications.

As such, the red labels are a higher quality product and a much better blend (and a bit more costly) than the white labels.

As I understand it, mixed filler means that there are a lot of bits of trimmed leaves, cap pieces, etc.

Kind of like steak vs hamburger. Both come from a cow, but one is superior to the other in terms of product quality.

The white labels were probably developed in order to be a high quality 'yard gar'.

And, www.newhavanacigars.com consistently has tatuaje in stock, and is a fantastic vendor. All products are shipped with a humidipak, which means that they could be smoked when received.

Hope that helps.

I'm a huge fan of the brown and red. The blacks are a little overrated but if you can find them for MSRP given them a shot too. The P line I find to be quite bland. I probably won't buy them again. Even as a yard gar goes the 5 Vegas Miami is better for a similar price. The Cabiaguan Guapos are VERY good and overlooked. They don't taste at all like the traditional Cabaiguans. Much more spice and body. :2

I like the Brown the best, though I have noticed the last couple of shipments they have not been tasting the same. I think they just need some time in the humi. I also like the red label the artistas (torpedo) and the robusto.

I hear ya Made In Dade - my last few 2003 cojonu's and J21 Reservas have been 'off' compared to their earlier compadres. I can't say Im completely disappointed as they taste good but not quite the dry and spicy Tatuaje I am used to.
