The Autopsy of a Padrón 1964

I've informed ATF that there's some crazed individual who is disecting cigars of questionable origin. If you hear a knock on the door don't answer, just back away from the door.

I'm holding my Padron cigars trying not to show them this massacre! YOU ARE INSANE, MAN! :D

Re: The Autopsy of a Padrón 1964 [NEWBIES--LOOK!]

I can't sit and read each page of posts chronologically...so when I'm bored, I'll just choose a page and look for the interesting stuff.

THIS is a GREAT post! hahahaha...I know there are a lot of newbies out there like me that missed this when it actually happened, so I would like to take the liberty of bumping it up and refreshing it.

Hilarious post...thank you for posting this!!

Moki - nice work ! :D

For comparison, you should murder and autopsy a lower-grade cigar (like a Helix or something).

Actually, I want to do it to an Opus X next... curious what the tobacco in there looks like :)

Hey Moki, do you own those rare AF's? Great site. I've never been a huge fan of the Opus, but I do appreciate the beauty of the rolled product. Those are some nice looking cigars......If I had my druthers...I'd take that Maduro Short Story, need my address? :D rns

Overpowering Opus X.... HA HA.....Revenge will be sweet!

Moki - thanks for the education. Not many people take the time to "lose one in the name of education"...way to "take one for the team".

Ahem... I didn't "take one for the team" in the manner you're implying... my name's not Monica, after all... ;)

Yeah it would affect the taste a lot less if it was on the wrapper because I dont know too many folks who would buy a cigar seeing a vein of that magnatude on the wrapper:D

. . . besides, wrapper & binder leaves usually have the central veins stripped from them, making them easier to roll & more more aesthetic.

. . . Can't tell you how much information one can learn by dissecting out a cigar (see page 1 of this post). Two weeks ago I dissected a very tasty custom blended cigar that I had gotten. It was about half way smoked. I was very impressed to find ALL long filler, AND a high (I'd say close to 30%-40%) ratio of small, darker, sl. shiny, tobacco leaves (Ligero?) in the blend. I was impressed enough that I'm gonna get my hands on a bundle of that stuff.

I will say it again, way to go Moki.
