The best cigar in your box...

Footbag

La Aroma de Gorilla
I've been thinking about doing a thread like this for a while. It gives us a reason to revisit that cigar we've been hiding from view for all this time right before the 4th.

What is the best cigar (In your opinion) in your humidor and why haven't you smoked it yet?

I'll start. A Monte "A". I bought it on vacation in '97 and always said I would smoke it at my wedding. My wedding came and it was too big of a smoke and I was pretty tipsy, so I smoked a smaller cigar. Kind of glad I didn't smoke it then. Haven't found the right moment (2 1/2 hours) to smoke it since.

If my memory is correct, I have a 2004 Opus X Forbidden X. It was a gift from when Stogie Review first started back in 2006.

Both Jerry (other co-founder) and I have just one and we talked about smoking it when we finally hit the big time.

Aside from that I have a H. Upmann #2 from a couple of years back with my name on it. It is going to burn sometime tomorrow afternoon.

I just got the hummi so it is not yet stocked fully but at this point the Hoyo De Monterrey De Prince

I have a 5 pack of some El Productos from the 1930s that I have yet to try. Also, a 2005 God of Fire which I have been saving for a while. I may smoke the God of Fire tomorrow if the setting is right.

Right now I'm sitting on an 80's Davi Chateau LaFitte which is the perfect size for my upcoming wedding this October. Aside from that I have a few other gems (in my meager opinion), but I'm most hyped on that one cuz I've never even been in the presence of a cuban Davidoff aside from that one. :tu

hard to tell. Depends on too many variables. I'll jump out on a limb and say that IMHO the best cigar in my (modest) stash is the one that is calling my name at a particular point in time.

I'm pretty happy with my cigars and am fortunate that I have a wine cooler chock full of favorite smokes.

Montecristo Classic No. 2 I bought in Virginia while on spring break with some buddies. More for sentimental reasons: I plan to save this for when I finish my undergrad years in college in about 3 years (hopefully, :tu).
