The Devil Site Snares Me With A Gurkha

I just can't help myself, the cigars, they look sooooo good. After all the Gurkha talk here on the forums I figured I better try some out for myself. I just picked up a 5-pack of the Signature "101" Maduro Robusto #4 for $13.00. I did a little research and it says that Carlos Torano has a hand in creating this blend so that's good enough for me. I am a big fan of Torano's work and I hope this Gurkha selection holds true to his quality.

I could only find a couple of reviews of this blend so if anyone has some comments on it feel free to post them.

No other real point to this post just felt like rambling a bit.

ive heard that gurkha's get alot better with age.. I was skeptical too, but you can get gurkha's for sooo cheap on c-bid.. last week i got a 10 pack of grand envoy churchills for 22.50.. I say smoke 1.. give a review.. then let the other 4 rest Enjoy!

Spend the extra few bucks on c-bid and get the Legends, the Black Puro's and the Master Selects.

All can be had for under 3 bucks a stick with patience. :cb

I find the Signature series kind of bland compared to the above.

Good price for a 5'er. I've smoke a few, the taste is good if you can get them to draw. Seems like everyone I've tried was rolled too tight. By the last third they finally open.
 
Sig 101's are pretty darn good IMO. Like Chuck said there are some better Gurkhas out there but I have smoked and will smoke some more sig 101's without hesitation.

:tpd: Legends, my fav of the affordable type! Well, the Sherpas aint to bad and the Signature series is a very good mild smoke, but forget the Warlord at night.... So many, so little time.

Congrats. I know I have only had a couple Gurkhas but they were good. I am glad to see you are tasting them for yourself. Thats what I try and do too.
 
I like the 101 but prefer the more full blends others have mentioned:

Black Puro
Triple Ligero
Legend
Beast
Titan
(try those last 2 when you can get a 5er for $30)
